There's nothing wrong with the cheering for your team. That's normal. People start cheers all the time whether it's a person who repeatedly starts them or just someone in the crowd. However, whistling is a different type of noise not pleasant to the ears. It is shrill and sharp.
K-Lady doesn't bother anyone. I've seen other teams who have someone hanging Ks when there are strike outs. Chris leads cheers. While you may not like it, it's normal fan behavior and cheering is expected. Comparing Chris and K-Lady with the whistlers is not a fair comparison.
I would think players tune all this stuff out. They probably mostly hear noise rather than specifics unless they're trying to hear the cheers. They're on the field and not in the stands. They may not even hear the whistlers for all I know.
The whistlers affect fans, likely on both sides. Additionally, at the CWS, there are fans from a lot of teams watching games. I can't imagine being near these guys in the stands because it's bad enough hearing them on TV.

Could someone with a twitter account ask espn why they refuse to put up a box score on their cws broadcasts. This is ridiculous.

I hear a whistler at the Vandy game now. Is he still getting away with that shite?

Oh, they hear them. I want to say that it was Smith and Duplantis after the Vandy game that were asked directly in the postgame press conference about the whistling and they said that they definitely hear it.

Did they whistle during today's game?

ESPN needs to deal with this when they negotiate a new contract with NCAA/SEC. Cut Vandy out the contract unless they stop the whistlers.
Yeah, I know that won't happen.
Yeah, I know that won't happen.

Just one or to times every now and then. Ramped it up in the bottom of the 9th once Vandy got the first out.

It is twice as bad in the stands, we were on the opposite side of the field from them in Hoover and it sounded as if they were within the section we sat in.

Unfortunately yes, though it wasn't as bad as normal.

enough is enough, time to kick both of the vandy whistlers out

No. I'd bet my bottom dollar that guy is a rock-ribbed conservative.

Yeah, it's like guns. A guy shoots another person to death and you put him in jail, but where do you draw the line? You going to put him in jail for shooting at the range?
This is stupid. You draw the line where we want to draw the line - just like we do with every rule and every law. Quit wringing your hands staring at your navel.

Given that one looks like Bob Ross and the other Les from Hardcore Pawn, conservatives would not be my guess.

Oh I don’t know - maybe when it literally disrupts people’s enjoyment of the game. This isn’t a fricking federal court. They can kick him out and not worry about some binding precedent or further interpretations of their policies coming back on them.

The line gets drawn where you get those annoying trashy whistling fricks to STFU
