They were dumb not to maximize the cap space by insisting July 30 execution date.

The idea that they can't reach out to players until July 6 or that they can't try to sign them into their available post-trade space until the trade is executed is false.

I hope the Lakers tie up money in the JJ Redicks of the world so they can't chase another star next offseason. We need them to suck in the next couple years

With what money?

Nets will have more money and want to pair someone with a probable kyrie on an already good roster

And that's the rub.

Half the league has huge money this offseason and many of those who don't are teams looking to re-sign their own FAs and can use Bird rights to go over the cap to do so.

With so much money floating around out there this offseason, the quality of guys you will find looking to take a paycut to play for a LeBron super team is less than a normal offseason.

They can sign point guards like Rondo, Elfird for cheap. Nothibg good, but serviceable.

Sucks for Davis (not that I feel bad for him). His agent screwed him over big time for Lebron’s benefit.

Either would be taking a paycut to do so.

Especially Kemba, who is potentially turning down a 5 year Supermax deal from Charlotte.

With the size of their respective egos now compared to when in Cleveland, no way LeBron and Kyrie can coexist peacefully in the same locker room without somebody getting killed, figuratively or literally speaking.

That smells like disaster to me. Too much diva in one locker room.

I originally didn't want them to cave in to ADs demands but now I am happy.

Nothing will make me happier than seeing ther Lakers suck for ther next decade

I don't think he wants to be #3 when he can be the man in Brooklyn

Point is that Pelinka got buttfricked on that end and it may cost them to fix things.

Destroyed him. Laker fans are just starting to see how bad and hoping that AD doesn’t take the trade kicker. Of course he’s gonna take 4M and alienate laker fans in the process, trolololololol.

Kemba would be turning down a potential extra HUNDRED MILLION to sign with LAL.

He’s made 58 in his career so far. Ain’t no way he’s doing that.

Which I would love.

Can you imagine Jimmy Butler playing with AD? My god. Would be hilarious.

Whats to stop Los Angeles from signing someone for more money than they have space and going over the cap?

It's the Lakers. It's not like they won't make a ton of money to make up the the tax they would have to pay

I think Boogie and Rondo sign with them.
