I’ve always heard the fixtures at your plumbing supply places were better than those you’d find at Lowe’s or HD.

Coburns or Ferguson for higher end

I had a plumber friend tell me that the fixtures at box stores are lower quality for the same model fixture you buy at the plumbing supply store. They build the internals cheaper for a lower price. He had me return mine and buy from the plumbing supply store.

LCR plumbing warehouse in Alex is fantastic.
Just bought two shower set ups w new valves and two lavatory faucets as well as a tub filler and some Ferber cosmetic kits.
they are fairly high however you can walk in and out and be done in an hour

Stay away from the big box stores for these. Go to a Coburns or Ferguson’s like other posters have mentioned.

Agreed. I had a unique situation but the guy came up with a solution and I couldn't be happier. I'm about to redo a bath and I'll be back there to purchase the plumbing.

Normally your plumber will get a discount on fixtures, sometimes they pass that on, sometimes they don't.

Yes, this is true. Made the mistake buying some Delta's from HD. After installing, I had to rip one out. It didn't work at all.

Coburns, Ferguson’s, Southern Pipe, I’d stay that route and away from the big box stores. A reputable plumber once told me the big box stores faucets and such use recycled brass and cheaper parts. Take it fwiw.. Had another good plumber tell me the other week to go with Delta. He claimed they’re the best right now and plumbing supply places normally have replacement parts in stock for them where as say for Moen, you have to order them.

Southland Plumbling if your GC uses them regularly. Normally get a discount.
