Jared Dudley is spitting knowledge on twitter about the AD trades.

People on this board actually think that Knicks package is good. Jared Dudley just laughed at it.

The package Dudley reacted to didn’t even mention the Dallas picks, future pick swaps, etc.

So a bunch of added garbage? Rick Carlisle is coaching Dallas, not Gentry. Hes not missing the playoffs with Porzingis and Luka.

Look at the teams in the west.

Even with KP and Luka, it would still be a slog to get to the playoffs within the next 2 years.

4 years from now? In theory they make it there by then.

A Dallas 2021 unprotected pick is garbage? Lol.

Pick swaps with a James Dolan owned team? Other unprotected picks from said dumpster fire franchise?

Those are valuable.

As I’ve said numerous times, the Knicks have by far the best pick assets, but the worst players.

Celtics and Clippers have the best combo of both.

Pels: # 2 (Ja Morant), Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart (?)

LA: AD

Griz: #4, Kuzma, 2020 first round pick

I’m pulling that trade. Not sure Memphis goes for it though.

Porzingis has played 114 of the last 164 possible games, and the West will continue to be tough. Those future Dallas picks are even more lotto pick-ish than usual, but they're going to be pretty bad if it's just Luca + Porz for a combined 110 games. Barea, Powell, and Hardaway isn't going to help carry that team to 40 wins if Porzingis and Luca miss a combined 60+ games.

Zing has also done what almost no player in the same situation has ever done: sign the QO and he is going to be a UFA next year. Unheard of.

The Mavs have a ton of cap space this summer. They are going to be really active. Might land a max guy..

I don't think he actually signed the QO (especially since it can't be offered until this summer). It sounds like it was just an initial threat that he backed away from a bit after the trade.

I’m just not buying the Mavs will be good in 2 years. As others said the west is only going to get tougher, especially our division. Mavs have a ways to go. Porzingis also hasn’t been able to stay healthy the last 2 years.

I really don’t see who the Mavs would sign. So far it seems like a lot of the big guys are either staying or going to other teams

You can't make that S&T if they suspect it's part of a bigger trade, which it would obviously be in this instance.

This is fake news.

a sign and trade has to be a separate transaction. Russell can’t be aggregated in a trade

This is also fake news.

any transaction involving russell to the pels must be separate from the davis transaction. if you can show me why this is "fake news" i will admit to being wrong

(but i'm not)

Show me where it's right? You can aggregate in S&T's. We went over this in a thread last week.

Is it even relevant? A S&T of AD for Russell is an extreme longshot at best. It would require the Pelicans to pass on all other offers just to wait to talk to DLo when free agency begins. Also, they would bypass any 2019 draft picks as a result. Not realistic at all.
