How much do y'all to for Uber Eats? Do you stick to the 15-20% that you would for a server or just $2-$5 for the service based on the number of bags?
They are getting a $5 delivery fee already.

Delivery fee goes to Uber not the driver.
How hard is it for people to understand this?
Not tipping is trashy.

So the app isn't taking a cut at all? That's nice of them.
Even if that were true, would you drive to a restaurant, then to a person's home, for $5?

Depends if they can make it to my apt or not. It’s not that complicated, but you swear that I asked them to diffuse a nuclear bomb.

I'm not sure how some of you have made it this far in life....

according to the OT a $50 tip is mandatory for any service or your trashy

Waitr drivers are hit or miss here. I always pre-tip. But when they call you because they are too stupid to look at the address on your front door and/or mailbox, you will want to take half of that 20 percent tip back.
Uber Eats -- never used. I imagine many work for both.

How much is it worth to you to get your arse up off your couch, put on some pants, and go get it your own damn self?
There's your answer. They aren't getting any of the $5 delivery fee.

When Uber Eats originally came into BR they were asking for 40% cut from the sale from the restaurants. If you held out, you could get them down to 29%. It’s why Uber Eats has so many fewer restaurants than Waitr. Waitr recently went up to 15%.
Not related to tipping, just an fyi to go along with someone that talked about fees.

I dont know why anyone uses these services, unless they are ordering for several people. After, fees and tip it is a ripoff. Plus the food isnt hot.

I always tip uber eats but can someone that delivers for them help me understand what the driver gets?
My bill is:
Food $$
Tax
Delivery fee - drivers don’t get this
Service fee 15% - who gets what for this part?
Then I tip on top of it.
They recently started charging that 15% service fee. Anyone work for them and care to explain what this is?

I tip waitr $7 on every order. Screw the per cent. $7 is what I’m comfortable with whether it’s a $15 or a $70 order.
Pizza delivery, I tip $4 or $5. They aren’t going into a restaurant and dealing with someone they don’t know, they are coming from their own place of employment.

I tip 20%, but I use waitr or uber eats like once a year when I'm sick and don't feel like doing shite. If you get a $10-11 meal somewhere you're looking at $20+ by the time it's done.

I tip $5 cash every time for a normal sized order. Uber/da gubment not getting my driver's hard earned money.

When I have colleagues come over from Europe they always ask me about tipping. When you try to explain it to someone it makes you realize how messed up the whole system is. They’re always baffled at the custom.
