Agreed. Good player. He gets way too much hate on here. The Saints gained a lot of newbie fans when his career started to fade. That's probably why he gets so much hate. They weren't around for his good years.

By far one of the worst free agent signings in team history. Not only was he terrible, but he quit on the team after being benched. The roster still could have benefited from his teaching and experience, but he decided to jump ship and call it a career during a playoff race. I can’t believe all these haters on Ingram but not one mention of Ricky Effing Williams. Dude cost us a whole draft then fumbled 20 times in 3 years. While all Ingram did was have a slow start to his career and that annoying thing where he’d bounce up and slap the ball like he was all upset as if he was going to break a TD every time if he just had that one more step... while slowly compiling the statistically 2nd best running back ever in saints history.

He used to get alot of criticism until Kamara came along and the running game got better. He was a good back but I think we could've got a better player with that pick.
