SB 229 - St. George transition bill passes in both Senate and the House

Dan Claitor's bill to set up the transition of St. George should it pass in the October election was approved in both the House and the Senate and now goes to the Governor to sign. Denise Marcelle and Ted James both failed miserably to strip out amendments made by Bodi White which specified that the new city would continue to pay its share of the costs to run EBR Parish, but not fund things outside of SG.
