Just not sure what the folks who think this is a cut and dry fumble are seeing here. The receiver gets the ball and turns to put it away as he gets hit. He never completes the "football move" and only gets one step down after he has the ball. That play is called incomplete all day every day in the college/NFL football. Truth is if Delpit wasn't so darn fast, the TE would have gotten that second step and completed the "football move" and it would have been a clear fumble.

He wasn’t going to tuck the ball. He was going to dive for the end zone in like 1 more step

Not all plays are equal. Calling a questionable hold on a short FG early in the game where they still make it on the play is a lot different than a last minute drive/play or OT.

They’re not taking accountability dude they’re paying some firm to say what they want them to say, and this firm will say they review the officiating and that it was perfectly done.

I'll agree with you there, his knee was down. However, that was a live ball. In all of our collective years of watching and following football, have you ever seen a situation where a live ball on the ground was considered to be in possession when a player only had 2 fingers on it? He did not gain possession of that ball until after his knee was clearly lifted off the ground, which resulted in an interception.

Great now this has become a troll thread, the video clearly shows he catches the ball, right after it lands in his hands his left foot plants and then his right foot plants, that is two steps you fricking idiot.

Two steps. Football move. Seen less than that called a fumble hundreds of times. That’s a clear fumble.

This is homerism! He clearly DOES NOT take two steps. He takes one step, and the ball is already coming loose before the next foot touches the ground. The call was close but correct.

Except he clearly does take two steps from the point of grasping the ball. Even turned his head around. It’s a fumble.

Why do you small handed bastard think it’s hard to pick up a ball with a few fingers? ODB caught a ball with a few fingertips. If you have hands that are close to 10 inches it’s unbelievably easy to scoop up a ball with a few fingers. This shite is getting stupid.

Regulation size gtf, go troll somewhere else

This is proof positive of why the SEC will never change.

The SEC office not only excuses poor officiating but in their effort to provide shade for their crews, they are in fact endorsing it.

Tell us where in the rule book this should matter.

I’ll save you time. It doesn’t.

I wonder if it would be possible to have Steve Shaw appear at half time at Tiger Stadium to permit us to adequately thank him for the officiating excellence we have enjoyed under his stewardship?

Is it just me or has anyone else watched that GIF over and over just to see DW40 hitting the faggie in the face repeatedly?

Side note, if that white boy didn’t fumble y’all smart asses should have sure told HIM that bc he sure was grasping at air to get it back! Something I learned a long time ago, when a possession/lack thereof is in question, watch the ball carriers reaction...human nature is to tell on oneself. Carry on arguing about fingertips and the size of a dudes hands tho, that shite is hilarious on a Friyay.

The call on the field should have been a fumble. No reasonable person can argue that. You have to let entire play play out then review it. There is no way a logical person can argue that there is conclusive evidence he did not complete the catch.

The fact that he is referencing “social media” in his defense tells me everything I need to know about his comments.

Solid confirmation that SEC refs are biased and blind.

How disgusting to hear him talking like that when everyone knows what side of the SEC referees bread is buttered, and no one is kidding anyone anymore. Except for these MSM sports hand and glove SEC, big money dealers bull talking you and me. Drop dead SEC officials you are not honest at all.

Hilarious and true. If you think a football cant be held/possessed with a few fingers, you either have baby hands/dont play sports, or dont watch.

Ask ODB.

Edit - or youre just a rantard like these numbnuts
