Gotta love an Alabama alum, with a major conflict of interest, serving as SEC director of officials. Of course the corrupt bastard enjoyed seeing LSU get hosed, and praised the officiating other than admitting Greedy's pass interference was a missed call.

LSU won the game 4 times. A well-deserved STTDB goes out to Steve Shaw.
quote:

"If you believed the social media kinda view, that was the worst officiated game in the history of SEC football. And I step back and I look at, 255 plays and I’m going to tell ya, that crew worked a heck of a game."

quote:

"There were a whole series of potentially game changing plays that were done absolutely correct."

quote:

Shaw admitted that the flag Greedy Williams drew for pass interference on the 2-point conversion in the seventh overtime was a “potentially, marginally, missed call.”

That's why they have hired a private firm to look further into last season's officiating across the board.

Oh so the officials ONLY missed the phantom pass interference that would have won the game for LSU?

Thanks Steve, ya fricking douchebag

He probably says the officials got the call or no call right in the Saints game too. We call these arse kissers, company men, etc.

I’m over that game as it did not have any negative affect on our post-season. However, how anyone can say Mond’s knee was “clearly” down is just being silly. It wasn’t obvious from the views they had. That and the catch/fumble were the only two i thought were ridiculously bad. The fact that this shite head said all of the calls were clearly correct is just laughable.

Yep and he didn’t have possession until he was up.

But we would’ve gotten our cheeks clapped by Texas in the Sugar Bowl if Greedy still sat out.

Instead we got to end the nations longest active winning streak and can play Texas at full strength.

I read his quotes on another site and it’s pretty damn confusing......Change needs to be made, but Monds knee was down, maybe pass interference shouldn’t have been called, ect ect.... Most wishy washy shite I’ve ever heard.

I know y’all don’t want to hear it but those officials were correct on just about every questionable call that night. The only one I didn’t like was the PI on Greedy on the 2pt play and the unsportsmanlike the ref gave him on that play

And all the bad calls aside, his old man river a-hole ref that threw the personal foul penalty while stating Greedy down because he said “that’s bullshite man” should’ve been publicly reprimanded the next day. They have to understand the situation and be able to eat that one in OT #7.

I can’t believe I’m going down this road again.

Not when he had possession. His hand was on the nose of the ball. His knee came up when he has control of the ball. If that’s a play that was called correctly then think about the amount of times you’ve seen someone with a knee on the ground just touch a loose ball.

UCF managed to sling it around reasonably well with their backup QB... I don’t think any of us wanted to see Ehlinger and those receivers against what was left of our defense by the postseason.
