Thank god they finally made LSU the evening game on Friday

Now I can get home from work and enjoy a nice beverage before the game rather than streaming

About time, will be nice to have a night game and not in the unrelenting heat with the sun out.
I bet the crowd will be better as well, people don't have to take off work.
I think rain chances had a lot to do with it in the past. Looks like rain won't be an issue this weekend for once.
Might catch a few of the lunch time game on Fri.

You can thank TV for that one, I'm sure they picked it up for the Stony Brook storyline. But it will be nice to not have to leave work early on Friday.

Lsu usually requests to be the first game to avoid the game being delayed because the first game takes too long for whatever reason.

Actually, I think it was something Bertman started a long time ago to afford his team the most rest between games 1 and 2 (win or lose).

Bertman explained it once. That was part of it...along with the fact that South Louisiana is prone to afternoon thunderstorms. Skip wanted the afternoon game so his team could win and get the hell out of there in case it rained...so the other 2 teams could deal with it.

I prefer the afternoon game, the day drinking, the inevitable shower, and finishing the game up around 7pm

Seems like some people who post on here must not follow LSU baseball when they host a regional... since Skip's time, the Tigers have been playing the 2nd game on Friday, to open the regional!!!

2012 was the only time recently LSU has scheduled the night game. That's why we got cursed with losing to Stony Brook
