When is it realistic for Zion to be top 10 player?

Generally, I have viewed top NBA prospects for needing their third year before they take the next step and are considered by the majority to be top 10 players (elite of the elite).
It took Chris Paul and Anthony Davis until their third year to become elite of the elite.
Now, I generally have considered the biggest hurdle in achieving this for top prospects is gaining the required strength and body mass in order to become a top 10 player.
However, Zion is entering the NBA already as the most physically developed player. With the said, is it unreasonable to move up his timeline as a result?
When do you think he becomes a superstar player that contributes to winning at a high level (top 10 player)? Third year? Second year? Rookie year?

He’s not going to be a top-10 player in year 1 or 2.

He will probably need a minimum of 2 or 3 years to get his defense and shooting to where it needs to be to be considered an elite NBA player.
I love Zion, but it's going to take some time before he's lighting up the NBA and garnering attention as a top player. Would be great if I'm wrong and he's a bonafide superstar in year 2 or 3, but it's just not likely.
I see him as being on the level of Julius Randle in year 1, which would be an insanely good rookie season.

Julius Randle- plus defense and intangibles year 1
Prime Charles Barkley - year 2
Championship Cleveland Lebron James- year 3

He can average something very similar to what randle averaged his last 2 years with LAL:
28 MPG(though he'll play more)
14-15 PPG
8 Rebs
3 Asts
~50% FG

when/if he develops his body and adds to his skill set he certainly can.
I was shocked that Davis turned into a 30 pt player with that elbow jumper.

I’m not certain he’s the best prospect in the draft. If he were a couple inches taller I’d feel differently

Reminder that lebron and durant averaged 30 a game at age 21.

IMO, most players need 3-5 years to become top level. Even D. Wade and KD didn’t make an all star game until their third year.

I think coming in he’s around top 40-50. Bases just off hustle competitive drive and athletic ability. He also is a smart player who could make that projection even seem low in year 1. I think he will be mature enough to be fully capable defensively year 2 to handle nearly any assignment. If he can get his shooting up to about 35 percent from 3 and he was at nearly 34 in college, that by year 2 it wouldn’t be a stretch to see him as a top 10 player

He could very easily grow an inch or 2 in the NBA.
Giannis
PG
Durant
Embiid
Hell I think AD himself
Just off the top of my head all did

Height don’t matter with his weight, athleticism, and competitiveness. Look at what Draymond Green does as a pf/C with the warriors. Draymond can easily do that but be Waaaay better offensively. And their height is about the same. He can be a transcendent player in the NBA if his perimeter shot can be about league average 35 percent ish. How steph was like the birth of small ball, Zion can be the anecdote. He would overwhelm small ball centers offensively and could hang with bigs defensively

If you look at 19 years this century, there have been only two rookies to make the All-Star team (Blake Griffin in 2011 and Yao Ming in 2003). In the prior 19 years, there were twelve rookies who made the All-Star team.
As talented as Zion is, he's still really young and just hasn't had the development that rookies used to have when they all had to play four years of college ball.
I think there's a good chance that Zion can be an All-Star selection in his second season. After that, I think it depends on how much better he gets as a shooter. I don't think it's a given that he becomes a top-ten player in the league, though I certainly hope so.

Luka had a historically great rookie year because he was polished coming in. Hard to expect Zion to replicate those kind of counting stats. However he is way ahead defensively. He’s going to impact the game a lot.

Top 10 player in the NBA means he will be Top 10 in the world, I don’t see that happening within 3 years. Making an All Star game is only a popularity contest these days. I’d be willing to bet, Ja Morant will be more impactful his first 3 seasons than Zion, but Zion will make an All Star team before Ja base on popularity.

Morant will be more impactful how?
Certainly not defensively
Look i like Morant a lot but some of you guys are trying a bit too hard with the devil's advocate

Morant will be more impactful simply because he will have the ball in his hands more that Zion. Also, RIGHT NOW, Morant's game is NBA ready, Zion game is not.
