They made that whole statement about never having a recruiting infraction when hes going to be coaching high school ball let's not mention the sexual assaults he helped cover up that got him shitcanned from his last meaningful job

FWIW, most of the players accused have had charges dropped or beat them in court.

Two are in prison though, rightfully.

Of course you won’t hear that side of it though. Seeing that you’re an LSU fan (I am too, but I went to Baylor), Drake Davis had child porn charges and also assaulted his gf. Two others on the same team as him have serious charges their dealing with as well.

Baylor football got what it deserved. The Board of Regents should be exposed and they also should face the music, but I doubt that happens unfortunately. Many programs have their bad eggs come through...it isn’t like Baylor is the only program to ever have players accused of/found guilty of horrific crimes.

No.

I’ve already said the board of regents are the ones who fricked up mightily. Briles passed up what he knew and nothing was done about it and then the Board continued it try and hide shite. They even allegedly intimidated victims. They are scum.

Briles was not in the right, but this went way above his head and a lot of people don’t realize that because ESPN and everyone else stopped reporting about it when a majority of the accusations never were formally made or didn’t exist to begin with and only two players were convicted.

We deserve what happened, but it’s ridiculous how much people think Briles’ players were just raping and pillaging Waco over and over again when that clearly was exaggerated by the media.

Yup.

Tevin Elliott and the Boise State transfer Sam Ukwuachu.

Ukwuachu was originally found guilty, then later had the conviction overturned. It was reinstated like a year later though.

Probably the most known player accused was Shawn Oakman and he was found not guilty. Ultimately had his life ruined since he was a sure mid-round draft pick before he was charged.

He was alleged to have physical assaults against multiple females. Man ain’t Tom Robinson from To Kill A Mockingbird.

Glad it’s overturned.

At least IMO, this still has nothing to do with the way Baylor handled the allegations. Whether these were true or false, you cannot sweep them under the rug and/or try to hide anything.

Agreed. I’ve been saying this for awhile but the board of regents are the ones who should have taken the brunt of the blame. Not Briles.

But ESPN got Texas ‘back’ and that’s all that matters. None of this will be reported on anymore and it was mission accomplished awhile back.

And Briles now becomes the most famous (or infamous) resident of Mount Vernon. Surpassing former NBA star Greg Ostertag.

Interestingly the most recent issue of Reader's Digest features Mount Vernon (Ostertag gets mentioned quite a bit -- he's bought up most of downtown trying to revive it -- but no mention of Briles).
