Anyone ever watch HBO the Leftovers?

If so does it actually get better or make sense? I mean 140 million disappearing is not that big of a deal especially if disperse globally. DUd you buy into the entire drama? I am only on season one but will there be more intrigue later on or just interpersonal relationship the entire way?

One of the best dramas of this decade in my book. Season one is a bit slow because they follow the book. Season 2 and 3 are phenomenal television.

It's a great show. Acting, writing, directing, even the music are top notch. But dont ever demand an explanation for any of the weird shite that happens or you'll be let down. Just absorb the suffering and joy as it comes.

Season two is all time great. I would have been fine with the last scene being the end of the series. Fantastic television.

100%. First season I was barely into it but like others have said, S2 and S3 are pure art and still gives me chills. I thought S3 and the finale were perfect.
The soundtrack is amazing as well

I think I'll like it more during a rewatch. I spent too much time during the initial run asking "WTF" and wanting answers.
Just enjoy the show and take what it gives you.

Oh you went and did it now, lol. This board absolutely REVERES the Leftovers. Personally I found the acting super- impressive, just awesome performances. Beyond that it was a disorganized mess.
