I feel like at LSU a decent portion of greek life comes from middle class and upper middle class families. The tuition is so cheap (comparatively) that a lot of parents are willing to shove out an extra 1.5-2k a semester. And it really isnt that hard to work over the summer and december breaks to pay for the fraternity yourself. I did this for a couple of semesters near the end of college.

I know I’ll get a lot of shite for this, but in terms of professional development joining a fraternity is one of the best things you can do for your career.

Every single job in some way or another has come from a connection I made while in a fraternity. Not to mention the soft skills you develop because you’re borderline forced to socialize with people you dont know every day whether it be with other fraternity members, women, campus officials, etc.

This can be said of any student organization, but the volume of social interaction in a fraternity is so much higher than your typical student club or organization.

I will never understand the animosity towards Greek life. Sorry a KA brother fricked your girlfriend that one time.

Most Greeks that I have met over the years, turn into travel ball dads. They had to buy their friends in college, and now, believe they need to spend $$$ on Jayden and Jaxson to be able to have any friends at all, the other travel ball dads.

As far as Pi Phi... they gotta be a bunch of tards to have been doing that stuff in the wake of the Gruber situation. Like, you can't stop that shite for a while until the noise settles down?

Plus, not every kid that is on a travel sports team had parents that were Greek.

Once you catch a grasp on the legal issues, now try to graps the financial and liability issues. Isurance comoanies cancel or wont write coverage on the houses or the GL on the university, or they rate it so high its ridiculous.
