Okay or after 3 times what’s the difference. I personally know people that can do heroin at their leisure, but aren’t sucking dick for their hit.

What the frick are you talking about? You are comparing opposite extremes and asking why they aren't the same.

Why is Jeff Bezos the richest guy in the world, and the guy at Seigan and I-10 has been there with a cardboard sign for 2 years?

Some people just have addictive personalities, I’m the type of person that could drink a 6 pack everyday even though I know it’s not the best choice but also get up the next morning and run 7 miles.

It’s a victim mentality. These addicts have all manner of people saying it isn’t their fault. It isn’t their fault. Addiction is a disease. It’s 100% your fault if you try heroin/meth/crack. Even once.

I don't think its as simple as that

Its a fair point that it is their fault that they try heroin/meth/crack. That said, doing some of these drugs once or twice pretty dramatically changes their brain chemistry. Their brain is telling them that they need this to survive. Most people think they can escape doing it once or twice thinking it won't do much to them but that doesn't end up being the case for a lot of people.

I watched my best friends brother deteriorate and ended up passing away from addition. It was difficult to watch.

Some people are more predisposed to addiction from a lot of the research done on this.

Lol bullshite. You may someone that dabbles but I promise you they won’t be just dabbling for long with heroin. It’s literally impossible not to become physically addicted to opiates after a certain amount of use and when that happens it’s game fricking over.

I never got into anything like that but someone close to me dealt with a pain killer addiction for years. It was hard to watch and luckily they broke it after a few years.

I’ve known plenty of people to only once do some heroin, meth, cocaine, etc and not have the urge to do it again.

Coke is pretty common for people to recreationally do. But meth and crack heroin? You know plenty of people who have done each of these once?? How many is plenty? Genuinely curious.

Opiates and alcohol are a pretty brutal combination it seems. I've abused the latter but never the former.

Alcohol seems to be more of a slow burn. But it'll do the trick.

Once I got on heroin and cocaine regular it went down quick, after being a "functioning addict" for 20 years.

Course the needle always speeds that process up too. But by the time you're there you dont give a frick, have no hope, and dont care if you live or die.

Is it about 5, or 5? Maybe 4, maybe 6? It ain't a tough question. Surely you can be precise. If you said about 350, then I can see where you might need to say about. But with only 5, or about 5, surely you know the exact #.

I agree. I've seen people who were productive, normal citizens that had everything going for them and had some substance absolutely consume their lives in a short period of time.

It's like saying depression is a weakness when we know it's a chemical imbalance in the brain

Yep. I've "dabbled" in just about everything, but booze is the only one that got me.
