I just remembered that quitter bitch - Jevronte - that quit LSU for his boy. I warned the LSU faithful on this board and got tore up over it.

I bet you wouldn’t call Ed a “quitter bitch” to his face.

If someone leaves a school winds up at another and graduates is that a quitter?

I am talking about fandom here. Jevronte graduated from the same college as Eaux. He was a member of this board for a long time because he was an LSU fan. He is no longer an LSU fan and has not been on here for years. Neither has his wife who made an appearance to bitch slap the LSU fans. Or their son.

Most of us LSU fans do, but what bothers me is LSU gets little to no respect from other fan bases.

I understand the distaste for them, believe me. Ed was a fan of LSU because of his cousin Coach Raymond and later because his son committed to Les Miles in the 8th gradE, nothing more.

My sons would never commit to any SEC/FBS school over LSU.

I’d obviously support my son and hope he succeeds.

ETA: I think I misunderstood the quote above. You are saying LSU fans distaste for the Moses family. If so disregard my Rant below. My Bad!!!

You do? Why the distaste? LSU didn't tell them to "F" off. That was their decision.

Are they butt-hurt because they liked the head coach and didn't want him fired? Are they pissed because LSU went against a high school commit's wishes and did what they thought was best for the program?

What if LSU doesn't offer and Ole Miss does?

What if LSU does offer but so does Stanford and your kid values that education?

What if your son is a 3 technique DT ideal for a 4-3 and thus doesn't fit Aranda's scheme?

I realize it's an LSU message board and we're all supposed to be LSU come hell or highwater but it doesn't always work that way.

My son has a shot to be a FBS player and I'd love for him to go to LSU but the #1 priority is his success as a player and his future after football. And if LSU is not the school to offer that, then he won't go to LSU.

If your allegiance is to a school rather than your son, you’re a fricking idiot.

I don't think Moses is a good example of what I am talking about though.

He was #1 on our board. We have a good track record of putting players in the league at his position, and we had the yellow brick road of success laid out for him.

And he chose a rival school, within our division as a big F you to Louisiana.

If my kid is ultimately that highly regarded (and he doesn't crush the SAT thus opening the door to elite academic schools) then he will be a Tiger or he and I will be fighting!

You are the idiot. I did not say I would not have allegiance to my son.

I can’t imagine a kid coming from my family and wanting nothing more than to wear purple and gold. Having said that, the only real allegiance is to your family. He’s supporting his boy. He’s all in so I can’t do anything but respect that. I’m sure he will still be pulling for the Vols when they aren’t facing his son. Either way it’s fine. Different strokes for different folks. I still have great respect for other programs even tho I’m all LSU.

Yes, you always side with your son. But, if you were a "Lifelong fan" this would never happen. Only way my kid doesn't play for LSU is if he can't make the team. That dad isn't a lifelong fan of Tennessee period.

Teams I would pull for in that situation:

1. LSU
2. The school relieving me of having to pay for my kid’s education

3. Everyone else

If Stanford comes calling, we have already had that discussion. He is headed west.

The Tennessee fan was obviously a horrible father if his son went Dawg...and I would disown my son if they went to Bama.
