Would you, as an LSU fan and father of a recruit, do this?
A NEW HOME SWEET HOME:
@tateratledge22's father Dean has been a lifelong Tennessee fan, but today he pulled the power T off of his truck as his boy committed to #UGA

Twitter Video - a lifelong Tennessee fan, but today he pulled the power T off of his truck

I would pull for my son but I don't think I could quit being an LSU fan. This guy was no TRUE LIFELONG fan if he can do this crap.

I just remembered that quitter bitch - Jevronte - that quit LSU for his boy. I warned the LSU faithful on this board and got tore up over it.

You can still be a fan without the bumper sticker. You root for your sons team, doesn’t mean you have to like everything else about the school

I can’t imagine a kid coming from my family and not wanting anything more than to wear purple and gold. Having said that, the only real allegiance is to your family. He’s supporting his boy. He’s all in so I can’t do anything but respect that. I’m sure he will still be pulling for the Vols when they aren’t facing his son. Either way it’s fine. Different strokes for different folks. I still have great respect for other programs even tho I’m all LSU.

It was a window sticker. He could have just added a Georgia sticker or license plate. I'm not saying I don't think he should pull for his son or UGA but the guy QUIT UT the team he was supposedly a lifelong fan of.

I usually enjoy what you post Ree BUT, you might get eat'n alive on this one. I believe a certain HC left a college? Biggest mistake of his life was his cover for it.

I have a daughter that graduated from LSU and have one at Okie St.

I can and will support both (with a little lean to the P&G).

If my kids go to Alabama even to play school, they better make other plans for Christmas for a few years.

Ree, I will defend you most times and I like the content you bring to the site. If you had a son, and you may very well, you would know the answer to this question. I want my boy to go to LSU. If it so happens to be some where else then I support my son and his decisions and dreams. With that being said, he knows there are some schools that are not on the list though. I am sure you guys can figure that out.

And if he decided to go to one of those schools. Would you take all of your LSU stuff down? Get rid of your LSU shirts and caps? Or would you support both - your son and LSU?

I wouldn’t have pulled it down. I’d back my kid’s decision 1000% though. On game days I’d wear whichever school my kid was playing for as well. Once the game is over, make a wardrobe change.

There is a pretty big difference between what you are saying and pulling a sticker off a back glass.

As a die hard LSU fan the only way I would not pull for LSU in that situation is if LSU didn’t offer. Even then deep down inside I would want LSU to destroy my son’s team with him playing great in a losing effort. I already told my son if he went to Alabama or ole miss he is out the family.

It’s ok, however my two kids 8 and 4 years old hate Alabama, they don’t even know why. they just hate them.

If my son went to bama as an LSU fan I’d hope he did well but still root for the tigers. Of course my son knows that as I knew that when I wanted to go to ole miss.

Y'all are nuts.

If my son decides to play for a rival of LSU, then I back my son.

Obviously, I would prefer my son go to LSU but there is a lot that goes into recruiting. Every school has a different recruiting board and if LSU doesn't see in him what, say, Auburn does, and thus Auburn is a better fit, then "War Eagle."

Doesn't mean I won't root for LSU for the other 11 games that season (maybe less if I need LSU to lose for a division championship or what not). But you 100% go in with your kid.
