Yeah, you must not understand what I am saying or I am not saying it properly.

I am saying that you can be a fan of the school you have loved your whole life and still support your children no matter where they go.

The guy tore his UT sticker off his truck because his son committed to UGA. Why not just get an UGA sticker in addition to the UT sticker. Why choose?

The kid has not even signed. What if he winds up at LSU? In one year his father would have been a Tennessee fan, a Georgia fan and an LSU fan. After being a lifelong UT fan.

My take is that if he can discard UT that quickly and easily I just don't think he ever was a true or lifelong fan.

I love my brother-in-law. If my sister divorces him for whatever reason I'm not going to discard him from my life. Probably won't ever be around both of them at the same time but I like the guy and have known him since we were in high school. I think it would be pretty shitty to throw him to the curb because of my dumbass sister. Hell she doesn't like all of my friends anyway. Most of them but not all.

As far as LSU getting players from out of state or even Louisiana guys going out of state doesn't bother me at all. It is their choice and nothing I can do about.

I don't expect their families to be all in. If Jeaux's family are Ohio State, Nebraska AND THEN LSU fans that is fine with me. I would not expect them to drop programs the dad coached, two brothers/sons attended and played and schools where Jeaux wanted to attend out of high school.

Jeaux is an Ohio State fan. He has said he pulls for, keeps up and watches them whenever LSU isn't playing. Again that is cool with me.

That's a little over the top dramatic, isn't it? War?

I am a huge fan of a sports team. I am not a fan of war.
Wow. I can't believe I've actually defended you several times. Are you retarded? You missed my entire point and twisted an entirely good metaphor. My whole point is that sports is NOT war.

I will support my son no matter which school he chooses but I’ll always be an LSU fan.

I really think it is a moral duty to raise your kids right and ensure they hate Bama with every bone in their body.

You must be very proud of that lame metaphor. Nobody else could have ever come up with something like that.

You do realize this is a "sports" message board?

The day my child commits to play for another school in any sport, then that school is immediately my favorite in that sport.

It pains me but if my son said “Dad, I want to play for Nick Saban” then it would hurt like hell but I’d wear a crimson shirt and drive to T Town every weekend.

... probably wouldn’t buy any official Bama gear.
