You're right. They choose to have sex and choose not to use adequate protection. This is the case for 99% of all pregnancies.

Not really.

The main point is that if you ain't people, you are property.

It's pretty binary.

Here’s a hint: your left foot isn’t property.

Tell that to the abortion rights crowd who claim ownership of their bodies.

They agree with me. It isn’t their property. It’s their something else. And that kills the entire premise of this silly thread.

They say, "keep your laws off of MY body".

'My' means ownership, as in property,
as in your pathetic arguments in this thread.

And your left foot isn't another person with a soul as is a baby.

It belongs to me so therefore it is my property.

Here we go. It is just a piece of tissue argument. Again, non-humanity. Well done. The Democrats of 1850 would have been proud of your semantics to deny rights to another.

Context is important for both issues. I get the comparison, but we need to compare solutions as well as issues.

Slavery was an economic system. Ending it would (and did) ultimately lead to a decline of wealth in the Southern states. The only resolution that would have worked outside of war

*Federal government buying out the Planter class (aka a Slaver Buyback Program)

*The South modernizing to industrial technology. In doing so, they would have to give up the culture that was intertwined with slavery.

Im not defending slavery nor am I defending abortion. The best solution to abortion also parallels slavery.

The moral choice is obvious. The problem is our welfare/benefit system. The only thing outlawing abortion will do is cause people to get the procedure in other states.

People dont become good parents just because abortion is abolished.
Simalary, blacks weren't given Civil Rights just because slavery was abolished.

This is an asinine argument.

No. No, it doesn’t. Examples:

I love my country.
I called my mother yesterday.
That’s just my opinion.
Blue Bell is my favorite.
I pray to my God.

None of these indicate the ownership of property. It’s very sad that you have to have this explained to you. You want abortion to be slavery so bad, but it’s never gonna happen as long as you live.

It sounds like you don’t know what property is.

Psst. You’re the one who wants to take someone’s rights away.

I'm not okay with bringing criminal charges against mothers who have poor health/dietary habitats and had a miscarriages or other preventable event (E.g. at fault in a wreck) resulting in the death of a fetus.

Are you?

Look, the property ownership argument by abortion rights groups has been around for decades.

"My body, my choice"

You are arguing against your own side.

You just don't like it being pointed out.

This is probably one of the dumbest threads I’ve seen on abortion.
