How did it hold up for you?
All my cars have been new, but considering semi-luxury used this go round.

150k on a 4Runner during law school—just getting broken in.

Can’t remember mileage at beginning probably 130-150k, 98 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, hand me down from pops around 2005 maybe/ got rid of it in 2013 with around 270k. Suspension was shot but engine was fine. Sold it to a junkyard for 600$
Have a 2010 highlander with 130k now, bought in 2013 with 48k. Runs like brand new, so just going to let it ride

1973 Jeep in 2004
Only went to 5 digits on the odometer.
Scruffy has no idea.
It was at 50k+ on the odometer at the time of purchase.

My uncle bought a 220k 2010 tacoma in 2017. He's now at 260k and it still runs super smooth.
Nuts.

Never bought one with crazy high miles but i did just buy a 2008 mercury mariner this week with only 30k miles . Still had original tires on it 11 years later. Treads were good but replaced them bc of how old they were.

If you will be buying with significant miles on it buy a Lexus. The likelihood of having any nightmares is very small.

I bought a 1986 Ford Taurus with 200k miles on it in high school. The speedometer didn't work so I just had to move with the flow of traffic. The AC didn't work, so I just got used to sweating and 60 mph wind. The radio didn't work but the cassette player did, so I had to always record new music on cassettes when I wanted something different. The fuel gauge didn't work, so I had to make sure I filled up when the trip odometer hit 300 miles and make sure I didn't forget to reset the trip odometer or I'd have to fill up again to reset the odometer properly. It was frick my budget with an unexpected fillup or risk running out of gas. The passenger side door handle on the outside didn't work, so I had to lean over and open the door from the driver's seat. The side mirror adjustment things didn't work, so I'd have to get a friend to sit in the passenger seat and move it by hand if I needed to adjust it. I used to park it next to a guy I lived with that had a 1994 BMW and it would piss him off to no end to see it next to his shiny German vehicle.
It had 350k+ by the time I had a junkyard pick it up for $35 and the only thing I ever had to change on the drivetrain was a starter motor and normal consumables like oil, water pumps, etc. It died in a flood. God, that car was a reliable piece of shite. Also, I was guaranteed that any girl that let me sleep with her after seeing that chucklewagon slept with me because she liked me.

2003 chevy silverado 4.8 ltr, 141,000 miles and still running good, never had any major problems with it. Traded it in in 2017 for a newer Ram. Sometimes i still miss that truck.

350,000. Suburban I bought from work. Still runs fine, but it was stolen and found in Houston. Waiting for insurance company to tow it back, now at 367,000.

shite, it might be cheaper for them to write you a check to just total it and sell it for scrap.

I bought a 1973 Suzuki lj20 when I was around 13 or 14. Don't remember the miles. Only used car I've ever bought.
My wife bought a Pontiac g6 that had 6000k on it.
She put about 80k on it with zero issues. Traded it for a new Buick Encore.
