Beach Volleyball vs #1 USC - LSU falls 3-2 in elimination dual - USC to championship

with a chance to go to the NCAA Championship Match!
LSU will face No. 1 USC on Sunday at 9 a.m. CT on ESPN2 with another chance to advance to the championship.
The winner will face UCLA in the championship match at 1 p.m. on ESPN.
LSU remains as the only team from the east region in the championship and it’s the first time that the Tigers have advanced to Sunday in Gulf Shores.
Two teams from California and one from Louisiana are the only teams to remain in competition for the national championship.
USC #1 seed
UCLA #2 seed
LSU #5 seed
The Tigers are flying into the next round

Kind of strange that they are doing the 4's and 5's and then the 1, 2, and 3's.
Friday's second matches were pretty nerve-wracking. Hopefully this format will prolong the happiness of LSU doing good and not be more intense than Friday's dual.

It’s not easy to see when you’re scrambling. You really only get a chance to look across the net when you get a controlled point.

You’re right about our fans. It could be ping pong and if it’s a championship series. We bringing RV’s , flags and crawfish. Geaux Tigers!!

For those of us that are new to the sport, please help us out. The LSU roster lists around 20 players. Beach volleyball matches only involves 2 players per team though. Do the other girls on the roster play during the season? If so, what determines which 2 teammates play in the playoffs?

10 players play each match and you need alternates for injuries and to help build up team for future years just like any other sport

I'm in shock, that girl is amazing but our ladies adjusted to her. That's huge.
