Looking for a spray to rid patio of mosquitoes

What do y’all recommend to kill mosquitoes around the house and patio? They’re getting into the babies room and biting him at night.

Buddy of mine bought a backpack fogger after paying a mosquito guy to come fog for a few months. I am going to follow suit so I can go outside at dusk and not be eaten alive. This is what he has, I'll either get that or the Tomahawk fogger.

My buddy did the same, you happen to live in Mobile?

I live in Madisonville, he lives in Slidell. He's been very happy DIY and the fogger paid for itself in no time. I think that one can also spray granules for other type applications if you reconfigure, I doubt i'd do that, but if you might it's something to consider.

Just making sure we weren’t taking about the same buddy. Yea, mine has said the talstar has been very effective at eliminating mosquitoes for about 3 weeks, then a new application is needed

Talstar granules? Or do they make a spray?

My neighbor uses granules in his yard for pest control, not sure how that work on his mosquitoes. I shy away from repeated use of this because my kid and dogs spend lots of time rolling around out there.

Demon WP works well. If the area is exposed you’ll probably need to apply more often.

I use Bifen concentrate liquid, mix it with water, and spray it on the ground, bushes, house, etc. It's safe for pets once it dries, and depending on how much it rains, usually lasts three to four weeks

I cover all concrete, siding, fencing, and structures with Talstar from a sprayer and it seems to work well. What’s the benefit of the fogger?

Also curious if the fogger is superior to spraying. Guessing you would need a respirator

Put baby into net
I lived in northern Luzon, at some elevation. rainy and temperate except for the dry season.
Mosquitos thick as could be.

I’ve also had success with Bifen in a hose end strayer in the backyard. Make sure you spray into the bushes and trees as the mosquitoes like to hide in there until the sun goes down. Knocks them down for a week or so. I get it at Chastant Brothers in Lafayette, but you can order it from the link. A bottle lasts all season.

Eliminating standing water in your immediate vicinity, and clearing out debris and excess foliage will go a long way. This means gutters, old gardening pots, buckets, trash cans that accumulate water, standing water under raised houses, everything. It made a huge difference at my old house when I completed that exercise.

a good fan will keep them away

in East Baton Rouge, the Rodent and mosquito abatement department will come out and spray your yard once per week for no charge. they also supply rat poison and other rodent control items at no charge.
