re: Dropping the Undershirt for Spring

Nothing quite like sweaty pit stains on a button down to figure out why undershirts can come in handy.
There’s a time and a place for undershirts. Not my daily attire, but if it’s freezing outside or I know I’m going to be outside at a job site and might get sweaty, it’s a smart move.

Not so fast Mr. Fruit of the Loom.

I dropped the undershirt years ago for casual wear. Best decision ever.

I wear undershirts pretty much any time I am dressed in anything other than a t-shirt. frick up a few high quality shirts with pit stains and undershirts start sounding like a decent idea quickly.

I wear a vneck a decent amount but definitely not daily. They are comfortable to me.

Sounds like the biggest factor here is sweating.
Other than an outdoor wedding in the summer in the South (frick you if you do this), I'm not going to be wearing a nice shirt if I might be sweating.
Some folks sweat more than others, though, and it's a reasonable precaution if you lean on the sweaty side, even indoors.

My buddy had an outdoor wedding at a plantation in St Francisville in June. All of the groomsmen drank the whole way there in the limo. That was brutal in a black tux.

Undershirt don’t help much in that situation
Better to bring an extra dress shirt

There's probably a reason such a nice venue wasn't already booked at that point.

It was unusually hot that day. Absolutely miserable. That wedding should have been in April

Most of my shirts are black, sleeveless and of black metal or death metal bands or albums
Are they sleeveless because it is cooler for burning down churches?

This is an alter used for a very, very specific purpose.
He is breaking into peoples apartments, he really needs undershirts but the last guy he robbed only had Tide Pods and shoes.

No, its cause its Louisiana. And plus I like to have my arms exposed so the public can see my double sleeved, black and gray, gustave dore inspired tattoos of death and blasphemy.

I only wear undershirts when I travel back to 1995 or when my BMI gets too high.

I never wear undershirts unless it's so ball-freezing cold that a thermal is required.
I live in Minnesota where it frequently gets ball freezing cold and I’ve still never worn an uundershirt in my life.

Yet you claim to have quit wearing them years ago.

Did you dress like this in the 70's?
This is how I've always pictured you. I will continue to do so, regardless of what you say.
