If rumors of Alleva being out are true, he got squeezed out the power struggle...

I know there are many topics on this and all asking lots of the same questions. I don't start many topics, but here are some thoughts...

Will Wade "situation" caused internal conflict on how to react. LSU reacted in the worst way possible causing divide on roles and responsibilities. Everyone from BOS Members to President to AD as an individual was impacted and have self-preservation concerns.

The reinstatement of Coach Wade has brought that full circle.

If Alleva is out, then F.King won that initial war, but that's not to say there aren't remaining battles to be fought.

If F.King tries to hire a puppet AD, then he's likely next on the chopping block.

If F.King tries to hire strong AD and provides autonomy to the AD, then maybe he survives.

This looks to me like a genuine internal power struggle that isn't gone.

0% chance the rumors are true. No way F King, who thinks about optics before all, would oust his AD days after reinstating Wade.

If F*king is still there I don’t think it matters who the AD is

especially if F.King is the one that "directed" Alleva to suspend Wade...

The more I think about this, and I know this may not be a popular opinion, I would much rather we get rid of F.King over Alleva if I could only choose one.

I always had the impression that Alleva was just ready to retire. Go out on top with no suspensions and programs on the rise.

King answers to the board though.

F King doesn’t get a say if the board wants it to happen.

Here's the thing: if F King comes in the way of hiring Woodward, he's gonna get fired too.

This and Alleva v. F.King is towards my point.

Most everyone answers to someone. At times a subordinate - Alleva - can topple his boss - K.Fing.

Alleva is not that guy.

So if F.King wins this one and keeps his job - temporarily, he still has to answer to his superiors. They're not happy with him either. So either he conforms or he is next to fall.

I agree I'd rather chop at the neck and clean house, but not necessarily how it works in these terms.

It’s all King’s show, Alleva is simply a yes man.

I’m with you on this DS. But remember that is under the assumption that LSU knows how to handle PR.

They clearly do not and apparently no professors have bothered to intervene. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

FWIW, I have my own “sauces” but they have been quiet since the Lipsey stuff broke.

Power money has set the wheels in motion for Alleva to be relieved of his duties. Barring a roadblock, I see it happening sooner than later.

Very simple. F King is instructed by BOS and JBE. That dipstick doesn't know a thing about athletics. He serves at the pleasure of an ambulance chaser and a half-arse governor. He can poke his bird chest out all he wants. The call ain't coming from him. I agree with Drizz.

If we got rid of F(uc)King, you wouldn’t have to choose just one, because there’s an almost 100% chance the new guy would get rid of Alleva almost immediately. The guy is an albatross.

Not in the immediate future. Takes much more man power and political action to change over the president.
