I know what's it's supposed to mean but I don't know why people think fortnite is only for younger people and pubg and Apex is for older. Apex is cartoony, overwatch is cartoony, LoL is cartoony. Doesn't make sense. The game is arguably harder to be the best compared to Apex and PUBG so who cares if public matches and LTM are for the younger crowd and casuals. The arena and tournaments are for mature skills.
I'd also argue a big reason the age is higher for Apex and PUBG is because they are FPS and that's what we grew up on.

Like I said in an edit you likely did not see, a factor couple be that Apex and PUBG are FPS and more comfortable to the older crowd that grew up with COD.
Older group tried out a 3rd person with building and didn't like it because it was completely uncomfortable. The younger group doesn't have as long of a gaming career to be use to anything.

Well if you think the really skilled players are all the younger kids then you've never played the game. Yes there are some kids that can outbuild, outshoot, and out edit you but the majority of the little kids are just having fun in the larger team modes. The majority of the skilled players are older, and will wreck you cause they play this game 8 hours a day.

That's not really his point even though it's a jab and not a real hit.
He's talking in general and the overall player base. I'm sure it's much younger than the other games. Doesn't mean the top players are any older or younger.

You saying that the older crowd is sticking to PUBG and Apex because they are FPS.
Hell, PUBG TPP is still more popular than FPP. People stick with those games 100% bc of the lack of building and more realistic gun play (not being hit scan)

Not the only reason obviously but you probably didn't want to play it because of the building which means you weren't comfortable with the idea. Younger people don't really have enough experience to be have that comfortability with any style yet.

I do wish I would have dabbled in fortnite more when it released, but I was too busy try Harding in PUBG
Funnily enough, pretty sure dourden and I were two of the first to download fortnite since he got free keys to save the world when it first came out

What is considered sucking at Fortnite?
I have played 3074 matches of Fortnite.
I don't think I sucked.
But The 12 year old and younger people I run into all still talk about fortnite and do all the dances.
It is okay to like Fortnite as an older person. I enjoyed it for a long time. But it no doubt has the younger crowd captivated.

It's fun when you learn competitive. Very much a strategy style play with very quick response time needed. Gun skill is absolutely a necessity with the building as player predictions and flicks are very needed to be improved.
PUBG and Apex it is more important to learn player habits and positioning as you can't build to protect yourself if someone gets behind you.
