Brusly now has a head coaching vacancy.
I heard that vacancy was imminent but he was waiting for the new school/field first. Guess he had enough of the BS too!
hate seeing guys like him go

Shame we've derailed a good baseball playoff thread with this crap
One other point about the play in class rule though. TPTB basically decided that if you were as good as Curtis or ECA as a 2A school, that you had to be cheating, that no 2A team could possibly be that good.
Let's apply that logic (or insinuate unproven cheating) to kids in academics and hear the SJWs scream.

Tioga’s 4a run was impressive this year.
After starting off the year with 5 straight losses
(Barbe, WM, Opelousas Catholic, Sulphur, St Charles) they rallied off 31 straight wins.
Their 3 of 4 pitchers they used this year were sophomore/freshman with 1 being a senior.
They only lose 4 seniors with only 2 being real contributors.

Yeah...that won't fly. You can't dish out whoopings and then refuse to take your whooping in other sports.

St Paul’s was pretty impressive. Their 3rd baseman is a stud. It was pretty incredible watching the way he handled ground balls compared to a couple other kids out there. Rummel was completely outmatched.
Barbe was just...different. The rant that theriot went on about all the things LSU doesn’t do, the Barbe team did. Emotion, swag, connection to their coaches, composure. I’ve never seen those kinds of things from players that young.

I’m watching replay of Barbe game. The Walker kid is phenomenal for a sophomore. I see he’s already committed to Miss State what’s up with that ?

Posted on 5/16/19 at 3:16 pm to SoFunnyItsNot
CST will be playing them all week

Anybody hear of any more openings?

Pineville High has an opening. Lost their assistant coach to Ash, and the head coach stepped down.

They definitely knew how to win close games. Had a lot of low-scoring pitcher’s duels.

So now the prep season is over, what schools have openings?

Central BR is now open. Pretty terrible for Coach Forbes if what I heard was correct on why he is no longer the coach.
St. Michael has announced their coach.

I'm still wondering what happened with Harrel. I think he was only there 2 seasons.

Interested to hear what it could be with Forbes.

Harrell is going to Dutchtown to be D- coordinator.

BREAKING: Troy Templet will not be back as the St. Amant head baseball coach next season. Athletic Director David Oliver confirmed, saying the school is “making a change in the direction of the program.”
St. Amant has an opening and Central does too. Parents got the best of both coaches

Here’s a link on Templet’s firing for anyone interested
