That’s exactly what I’m thinking.

Hypothetical question. If WW doesn’t return and it’s found out he has advised everyone to leave LSU, does that change your opinion of WW?

I think this is an effort to serve multiple purposes.

- Declare and get an idea of where you stand from NBA perspective.
- A power play to leverage the administration. They love and fighting to #FreeWillWade.

If Admin does right thing and reinstates Coach Wade, then besides Waters and Naz, you may see Mays, Smart and Emmitt return.

If Admin continues their ridiculous stupidity, it's NBA or transfer out.

You can bet your arse all of this is happening bc of wade one way or the other.

He’s either telling them to get out or making them put pressure on the admin.
Agreed.

I'm the same size as Waters(5' 11", 160#), fast as frick, have 8 years of undergrad study at UNO and 4 years of eligibility.

I'll lace em up. I'll die of cardiac arrest the first time I have to run down the court at full speed but I'll lace em up.

Go Tigers

Why don't you understand this?

Will Wade IS the program.

The players don't matter. He'll just get new ones. Especially in basketball where the best players are one-and-done anyway. It all starts with him. That's who matters.

Keep him and you keep a dominant program with a bright future. Shitcan him and you get more of what you saw the past 10 years from LSU basketball.

It really is that simple.

I would love to agree with you. But let’s face it. WW doesn’t have this long track record at LSU to back up your point.

He has recruited great players here. But they all leaving and he is under investigation for recruiting those same players.

My question was What if he is responsible for not only bringing those great players here but also the reason those players are leaving. And responsible for why the next coach is handcuffed in bringing in new talent

Again, it was a hypothetical question and I hope it’s not the case. Just asking.

Ok dude. Keep thinking that. I guess he got suspended for being in the wrong place for the wrong time.

Do you know how to read? Do you know how to google? If so, do both of them and you will find out you’re wrong.

Coach Wade always suggests players who are interested, investigate their draft potential.
I was part of a small group discussing this topic (amongst others) with CWW, earlier this season. He encourages players that “think” they’re NBA material to go through the declaration process.
Two reasons:
1) It’s good to get pointers and feedback on weaknesses that need to be improved upon, etc.
2) It gives a reality check to players who think they’re headed to the NBA. He said that many college basketball players are naive and hopeful. They think they'll play in the NBA. They don’t always listen to coaches and friends who try to convince them otherwise. They WILL listen to third party reps for the NBA.

My guess is that this is what is happening now, especially if they’ve been unable to discuss this in detail with Coach during the past month.

To be perfectly honest none of the players who declared is truly ready for the NBA. Naz will get drafted due to his size and unique skill set but he struggiled mightly at times in college especially in terms of physicality in the post, defensive rebounding, and ability to switch onto guards (or even quicker forwards) defensively. The other guys just simply won't get drafted which makes their decisions just really odd. One key difference between the NBA and NFL predraft processes is that a great NFL combine/Pro Day can actually have a huge impact on your draft stock. Predraft measurements/workouts can help a little in basketball but if you arent already a legit draft prospect it won't usually push you over the top.

Rules have changed this year. NCAA allows them to sign with an agent now. They realized they need an agent to guide them through the process and now they have until May 20th to come back.

They can do this 2 times and retain eligibility. In today's game, it makes sense that a lot of freshman should do this. Every sophomore and junior should unless they have absolutely no plans to play pro or know they have no shot.
