I thought this would make for an interesting discussion. From Twitter...

#FilmTwitter You have to pick 7 films for a marathon all-nighter, but the rules are:

1) the films must be franchise films &
2) all 7 films must be from different franchises.

What are your 7 picks?

Harold and Kumar: Gitmo

Back to the Future

Prisoner of Azkaban

Infinity War

The Two Towers

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Mission Impossible

Could swap any of those out for:
The Matrix
John Wick
MI: 3
MI: Ghost Protocol
Casino Royale

Probably more as I think about it.

I couldn’t imagine watching 7 movies back to back. So I’d probably pick the shortest movies I could find.

As long as the definition of "franchise" is reasonable, here we go (numbered, but in no particular order):

1. The Empire Strikes Back

2. Blade Runner

3. The Wrath of Khan

4. Terminator 2

5. Alien

6. The Road Warrior

7. Raiders of the Lost Ark

Honorable mention:

The Return of the King, Die Hard, Dr. No, Dirty Harry and Rocky

Id have to think about it but off the top of my head.

Godfather
Godfather 2
Inglorious Bastards
Goodfellas
Whiplash
No Country for Old Men
Shawshank Redemption

frick I can't do two from the same franchise so I'll say The Dark Knight.

Which 3 dumb mother frickers downvoted me? I named by far the best movies of all time. Yalls taste in movies must suck.

If I'm watching something good, I don't want to be tired and not paying attention. If I'm going to be "up all night" watching movies, I'm watching schlock.

Bikini Carwash Company
Critters
Hellraiser
Leprechaun in the Hood
Meatballs
Night Eyes 2
Ski School

Mix and match anything like Emmanuelle 4, Ghoulies, National Lampoon's Last Resort, some other Shannon Tweed movie, and so on if you prefer those over one of these seven.
