BRUSSELS & LONDON - Brexit is set to be delayed by up to six months, after European leaders rejected Theresa May's request for a short extension to the Article 50 withdrawal process and instead gave her a longer deferral.
EU leaders, excluding May, met in Brussels on Wednesday evening to discuss her request for the United Kingdom's exit from the EU to be postponed until June 30, 2019.
The prime minister sought a two-and-a-half month delay which she claimed would be enough time for a Brexit deal through the House of Commons, and help the UK avoid taking part in the upcoming European Parliament elections.
However, after hours of intense talks, the leaders of the other 27 EU member states agreed to delay Brexit until October 31, meaning that the UK is set to remain in the EU until Halloween.

Theresa May is an awkward, gangly embarrassment

Great Britain has gone from being an absolute monster of a worldly empire that everyone feared to an absolutely cucked shell of itself with mississippi level GDP that can't even peacefully break itself away from an economic bloc.
Sad.
Sad.

I can't believe the populace over there aren't rioting in the streets every day knowing their government is shitting on their wishes.

They’ll postpone again and again until they can reverse the vote.

Seems to me like they need to learn how to tell an overbearing authority to “frick off.”

If they are ignoring the results it must be because the British Electoral College decided the referendum and not a popular vote.

We laugh at this but do people realize that in Britain the Prime Minister is elected by which ever party has the greatest number of members of Parliament and appointed by the queen and not the people. It is a pseudo electoral college.
And members of parliament are elected for at most five years or until a vote of no confidence is reached in parliament. Imagine that system in Washington.

For God's sake, just pull the band off and get as far away from those euro-globalists as you can.

2/3 of the Parliament were on the record as "Remain"....so you have this weird disconnect between the people's vote and the representatives will to enforce it.
