I can't really fault you for feeling this way. We've been atrocious in mid week games this season.

I'm right there with your frustration.

It's hard to watch.

A side note, I loved Ochinko when he was a player but we have to get a seasoned hitting coach.

Someone needs to look up all the comments about Midweek Games back to Skip. Midweek Games are to let pitchers pitch that normally do not pitch so they can develop. If you did not have Midweek Games then some guys would not get any playing time.

If the fans are gonna bitch and complain while giving up should the players and coaches do that also?

So what about 50 people max then? Or do you think there are 2 thousand kids on the team?

I was gonna post the same thing. Why even go if the team isn’t going to show up every week? We’ve lost to 3 in state teams in the last month

To Malaysian Tiger the pitching can be overlooked to some extent in this game due to Marceaux knocking the rust off. But there is ZERO excuse to have two hits against a pitcher with that ERA. The hitting woes continue

How many mid-week games have you attended this season?

None b/c I live in Shreveport but I wouldn't go if I lived there to watch the schitty product Pawl puts on the field for nearly every mid week game.

I can only assume they just don't care if they win or lose these games - so why should I?

Y'all are really reaching with this shite now ... Alot of these kids are working on their draft stock, hoping they make it to the big leagues. To say they go into the midweeks games with a "meh, frick this game, I'd rather be on the couch" mindset is completely asinine. Every game matters, but we aren't going to win every single one. That's just frickin baseball. This team needs work, I wouldn't suggest holding your breath this year baws.

What does that have to do with getting one hit through 7 innings by a freshman from McNeese who had only pitched 7 innings all year, and couldn’t record 1 out in his next start at LA Tech, or getting no hit through 6 by this kid from Southern?

I can buy into giving up runs in The midweek b/c we are throwing other guys, but the starters in the field don’t change. Do they simply not give a shite about hitting on the weekdays?

What I don’t understand is the attitude that who cares if we win or lose from the coach, which trickles down to the players. As Herm Edwards said:

I don’t care if it’s the World Series, a regional, an sec weekend, a mid week game against southern, a scrimmage against ourselves, or a drill in practice, I don’t want to lose. I don’t get that mentality from PM.

Seriously? Was this the first LSU game you’ve ever seen? PM is constantly changing the lineup, he’s a perfectionist. His demeanor last night was totally different than his demeanor over the weekend during the A&M series. You know why? Because last night didn’t matter. Is it disappointing? Yes. Do top ranked teams lost midweek games? Yes. Doesn’t mean we should fire the staff.

The hitting is baffling, they seem so clueless and are fooled by what they are looking for (waiting on a fastball and get a curve and vice versa). Is the confusion solely on the hitters or bad scouting reports or a total lack of one/calls or all of the above?

So who is your choice to replace him?

We’re not going to crush 150 homers and win the CWS every year. College baseball has changed.

agreed! I don't care that its midweek games. The glory days of Skip, it was not as acceptable to lose midweek games, but now it seems more ok. LSU should not be losing to McNeese and Southern....ever.

Sure wasn't

I don't give a shite that he's changing the lineup to try things and this and that.
When you play something, you play to win, and from the coach to the players, they don't seem to care about that.
I get mad when i lose at the stupid game of Trouble with my kids. Does anyone on the team give a shite that the lost last night? To say it doesn't matter is in insult to the game. If you're going to suit up, give it your all and play to win. If you're going to treat it like a practice, then just have practice instead.
