If coaches and team are going to take the mid-week games off, should the fans do the same?

This is getting old. I know the mantra has been win 2 of 3 in the SEC and you will be fine. But, some of these mid week losses are just plain embarrassing. I know this baseball team has the talent to beat teams like this even on an off night. I can only assume they just don't care if they win or lose these games - so why should I?

(on weekends!)

That's a good point. Perhaps I'll start watching movies instead.

Exactly. As long as we take 2 out of 3 this weekend then it’s almost like tonight’s game didn’t even happen

How many mid-week games have you attended this season?

None - but I watched all of them. I usually attend two a year - Pontiff and UNO (when they are in N.O.)

That being said, I am not just speaking for myself but other fans who live near BR.

"Taking the game off" might be giving them too much credit.

This team can absolutely be shut down offensively. It's real. It's related to tangible issues beyond effort.

Exactly! We’re not winning a CWS this year.

Learn what? That midweek games DO count in the rankings at the end of the year? Yes they do. And it is embarrassing for this program to lose to teams that do not have even ONE player that could be invited to be a walk-on at LSU. Oh yea, the best hitter on Southern's team didn't even play tonight! He has serious power and might have provided further damage.
Face it - same thing I have been saying for several years. We are not a good hitting team. Bad approaches. Bad disciplines. Too many fly balls, too may weak ground balls and way too many strike outs.
Keep telling yourself "it doesn't matter". Sure you can overcome midweek loses. But why should you have to do so.
Win them all, unless you are trying to play people in midweeks that don't play on weekends. But that is not what PM is doing. The same 8 position players that play every game got 2 freaking hits tonight. Great job!
Jag players will be rubbing that sh%t in when they are in Tigerland on a regular basis and they deserve to do it. 2 Hits!

There weren’t many LSU fans there anyway, so a lot of them did take the night off

It was packed. With Jaguar fans. There were LSU fans there, but other than parents of players, not many else.

I go to midweek games at the Box as I have season tickets.

BUT, I no longer travel to Tulane, UNO, SLU or the Wally Pontiff Classic. The games are not worth my time.

LSU is by far the premier program in the State, but let’s not act like other teams in Louisiana can’t field talent. Louisiana high school baseball produces some talent. Every so often, the Nicholls, NSU, McNeese, and even Southern can play competitive baseball.

Mainieri doesn't get paid big bucks to coach games on Monday-Wednesday in March-April

(He actually does get paid, but you get the point)

That's all you have? One fan who chooses to stream the games rather than drive 150 miles to watch them live and a typo. Come on Russian you can do better. You do understand that LSU makes money off of streaming the games, so I am actually supporting the team when I watch on TV. Notice those commercials during the broadcast? Notice the signs along the fence? That is not just for the live fans, advertisers expect to get TV exposure too. Any thing else?
