Can you succinctly break down what the hell is wrong with this team? We were on top of the world until that cub series and now it's a dumpster fire.

Can only score via HR. Inconsistent bullpen.
Wong - ice cold worst 2B in baseball this month other than Descalso. Gold glove defense but gfy if you can't hit at all these days.
It's been a weird month. They'll be okay, we've seen them at best in NL level and worst in NL level. Level that out and then turn it on late.
Likely going to be trading for a SP at the deadline, moreso than signing someone like Keuchel.

The pitching staff is arse:
2 rag arms: Waino,Wacha
1 solid starter who would regress in year 2: Miles M
2 young arms who give up 2 many homers and can barely go 5 innings: Flaherty,Hudson
Hudson and flaherty will improve, and MM will give you solid 6/7, but after that it's crap
I told Cubs fans who i work with, that Cardinals were not a contender.
Then lets add in the same helter skelter offense, with goldy added. 10 runs 1 day, 2 runs the next 3.
