Paul Mainieri is stale and it’s time for a new baseball coach

I never wanted him hired in the first place. I’ve been saying to get a new coach for 6 years. The whole “I stopped trying as hard after the national title” nonsense was enough for me.
It’s time. This has gotten more stale than Les Miles, only people are more impatient in football. Pulmonary is more stubborn, more arrogant, and less successful than Miles.
13 years, 1 title. It’s been long enough. Thanks for everything Manuri, but let’s start over and try again. Let’s inject some life into this program. It’s time.
The only issue I see is that as of today Joe Alleva would be making this hire

What do your fake sources say on the issue?

Don't take this question as an argument against your post, because I'm not interested in having that argument but:
Who would you suggest?
ETA: And who would you have recommended at the time he was hired?

I’m not involved much with the baseball program.

I don't think PM needs to go but I always like O'Conner....though UVA has struggled a bit lately

And as always you were right.
13 losing seasons.
No players in MLBB.
No SEC titles.
No regional\super regional titles.
No Omaha appearances.
No Nattys.
I have to compliment you on your consistency. On the other hand every circus needs a clown so please keep posting your nonsense.

The whole Texas deal and how he wasn't appreciated was really bad. If you didn't feel appreciated he should have taken on the Texas job.
Kiss of death - similar to when Miles flirted with Ark - if you that unhappy, go!

PM situation is nearly identical to Miles, fans have been screaming for years for a new (offense) hitting coach, have been promised much change but little results. Sounds familiar?

Are you saying Nolan Cain, Micah Gibbs, and Sean Ochinko arent elite assistant coaches?

I've been ready for a change for years now as well. I'm not sure what he does anymore: he doesn't coach batting or pitching. I can think of several melt downs in regionals, super regionals, and Omaha that were direct results of poor game-planning and decision making (Houston, Stonybrook, UCLA, etc).
However, the biggest difference between CPM and Les Miles is the way they treated their players. Les Miles would never call out his players directly in the post-game press conferences or any press conferences for that matter. The players don't respond to it and he sounds like a child.

He gets brought up a lot by people who want Mainieri gone, which is weird because people who don't like Mainieri want one of his assistants to take over. I don't get it.
But, I'm not a big fan of O'Connor. Part of the reason they've been struggling lately is because they have essentially torpedoed their recruiting by teaching both hitters and pitchers techniques that hinder their development from a pro standpoint. There are agents/advisors actively telling kids not to go to Virginia because they won't be developed for the pros. I wouldn't want that reputation to follow him to LSU.

Should have let Pulmonary go to to Texas

Regardless of the sport, it’s always nice to see a fresh take on The Rant.

Can we send him down to the minors at LSUE and call up their coach to take his place?

How many coaches have more CWS wins than PM in the last ten years?
