An agency responsible for alcohol and tobacco is planning on cracking down on an oil that is nontoxic, non addictive, and non recreational? While the rest of the western world is trending towards full legalization, it’s almost required that Louisiana should make a push in the other direction.

Medical marijuana is legal in Louisiana yet the state is so fricked up they can't get out of their own way to even get a program started, much less ready to help patients.

It’s amazing that 30 years ago the state legislature formally recognized the medical benefits of marijuana, and just a couple years ago enacted a medical marijuana program, but still insists on Sched I classification which by definition is for substances with no medical value. And when given the opportunity to reschedule, the worthless legislators hid behind the federal schedule and pretended to care about a potential conflict if Louisiana were to reschedule but the feds did not.
One of the few good things about Democrats, generally, is their stance on marijuana. Even that doesn’t apply in fricking Louisiana though.
