Democrats are jeopardizing their political future

If they continue to probe and investigate Trump. It’s not only bad for the country, but it’s straight up bad politics. It smells of desperation and a lack of actual policies and ability to govern.

People drifting back left will absolutely get turned off if they go after Trump even more. That in combination with the dems actively getting rid of the EC and change the supreme court while pushing environmental policies that will tank the economy will be a disaster for the left

Dems picked up 40 Congressional seats in 2018. Only the true Trumpkins are defending Trump these days.

Dems don’t care. They don’t care about public perception because they control the media. They have nothing to lose except the next election. They are desperate and will do anything to win. I wish Republicans would nut up and fight back.

Where in the original post was there a mention of supporting POTUS Trump? It was talking about the Democrats foolishly using targeting of their political opposition as their only policy platform....

A big percentage of voters in this country have either the attention span or the comprehension of a goldfish.
As long as Dems don’t f**k up too badly within a couple weeks of an election, they’re gold.
That’s why the timing of the Comey statement just prior to the 2016 POTUS election was effective. A week earlier and it’s forgotten.

If Trump could humor us for just a few weeks and keep a low profile, no picking at people via twitter or otherwise, keep his head down and allow his public profile to be reduced to signs of hard work on behalf of Americans......all the while nothing but stagnation and vitriol from Dems.....that would suck in many new supporters, many lefties included.

The issue is that Trump is reactive and not proactive. He doesn't go out looking for trouble, but rather reacts when people intentionally try to railroad him.

I agree that he could do with a little less talking but the incessant rhetoric driven attacks can get out of control if he doesn't get ahead of it. Especially since the media is basically the right arm of the democratic party
