They've won a National Title in the 90s and went to 3 Final Fours in the 2000s.

Petro died like 4 years before Cal got there.

two guys on one of the local shows in Wichita were arguing over whether or not UCLA was a blue blood the other day. The guy that was arguing that they weren’t made me have an anurisym from how dumb he was.

A decade ago. Cal’s better off where he is.

I don’t see how UCLA is a destination job given the mix of entitlement mentality and having to compete with way too many other teams for the spotlight.

Remember, this is a school whose boosters used to talk shite about Wooden letting them down when he didn’t win a title one year.

If he does leave, Kentucky better prepare their butts for a long vacated spot in purgatory just like Memphis and UMass before them.

When he leaves, it all burns down.

Same reason people see Michigan, Notre Dame and USC as destinatiin jobs in football, history. None of those jobs are premier anymore. USC only because of their leadership being dumbfoundingly stupid and out of touch. LSUs is bad but nowhere near the level of ineptness that USC group has.

Other than Duke, Kentucky is the destination job for college basketball. No way Cal leaves that place unless its burning down.

If you don’t think SC Notre Dame and Michigan are premier you need to stop posting about football

It’s easier to win the PAC-12 than it is to win the WCC. That’s partly why it’s a sweet job.

Michigan hasn’t won a national title since the 40s, southern cal’s last national title trophy they kept was from the 70’s, and Notre Dame has had one relevant season in the last 30ish and got embarrassed in the title game (which they never should have been in).

You mean the one where they were only unbeaten beat OU in top 10 game on road, beat Miami in neutral site game. I love people like yours revisionst history and idiocy

But then again you’ve proved it by saying UCLA hasn’t done anything since the 70’s in hoops

similar to what happened to Saban. Williams chose pot and acupuncture.

You used to not be able to recruit a new team in the pros.
You were stuck.
I doubt he would do it again.
UCLA makes sense.

Kentucky will get Will Wade.

You doubt that he would turn down an offer to coach one of tGOATs with a possibility of adding another soon?

Cal has the personality to work with top talent.

Didn’t Carr win the title in 97?

Split title. I think they got the AP title and Nebraska got the coaches poll title.

We aren't doing scandals.

If I were to have to hire another SEC coach today, I think it would be Kermit Davis. Not sure how old he is, but that guy can coach. If he can recruit, he's going to do amazing things at Ole Miss.
