and Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady appear to be meshing perfectly.
Here's what the QB's had to say + a look at some clips from practice.

quote:
“It’s going to be a big part of our offense,” Burrow said of the push towards a more RPO-based attack that feeds on tempo. “The direction new age football is going, that has to be a part of everyone’s offense if you want to be explosive.
quote:
When the first-team group hit the field, Burrow was in the shotgun at quarterback and Clyde Edwards-Helaire was at running back. And for the fans that had clamored to put the top pass-catchers onto the field at one time and flex out an athletic tight end, the Tigers were doing just that. On the left side of the line, Justin Jefferson and Terrace Marshall were lined up. On the far right side was Ja'Marr Chase, and flexed out at tight end was Stephen Sullivan, a 6-foot-6 mismatch wide receiver who the Tigers are using at multiple spots this spring.
quote:
When the staff ran out the next group, Brennan took over at quarterback with Chris Curry at running back. Dee Anderson, Jontre Kirklin and Jonathan Giles were the three wide receivers, and Thaddeus Moss was flexed out as the tight end on the field.
It's a group loaded with familiar faces, with every wide receiver from last year's team now back on roster for the 2019 season, something Burrow said he's not sure he's ever had happen in his time as a quarterback on any level.
quote:
But that was then. And this is now, which is why the offensive players are gushing over what they view as a big step in the right direction on offense with all the changes being installed this offseason.
“(The 2018 offensive production) is not going to be good enough next year," Burrow said.

I think I've heard this story before.

The annual spring report “offense will be so much more dynamic this year!”

Obligatory "I'll believe it when I see it" post.

I'll be the first to say I was happy with last season Ree.
But lets get real, really fricking quick, what happens in the spring means absolutely shite.
You know it, I joke it, we all know it.

Appreciate the info. This all sounds encouraging. Put me in the "wait and see" category.

quote:
“They were all freshmen and sophomores last year, and when you have that much inexperience, there’s going to be some growing pains,” Burrow said. “This is one of the best groups of receivers I’ve ever been around. Those young guys are making big strides these first few days, and I’m looking forward to seeing where they’re going to go."
This is the very same thing Ro said yesterday on AFR.

Nope not falling for this. Let’s see how the O line looks

“ if you want to be explosive”
I think everyone who is a LSU fan would like to see that, but i’m going to wait until after the Texas game before I decide if it’s reality or more fantasy.

It's always exciting until Alabama owns the line of scrimmage

Whenever you are returning a lot of starters, including a starting quarterback like Burrow, I think the optimism has more substance than in previous years. Another contrast is that in previous years, we had underperformers (or poor performers) but the word coming from practice was "this time it will be different!" This year, we have a lot of players who started to click and hit their stride last year. Now, they have a season under their collective belts, so there's good reason to think they'll be even better.

I’m pretty excited.
I believe The offense will be different.
Say what you will about Canada, the offense was at least different in form.
And we hired someone who has experience in the type of offense E says he wants to run.

I feel like an idiot because I fall for it every year...

It’s actually warranted this year. They look real good.
