The truth doesn't hurt. Benford was a failure as a head coach and was thrust into his role due to reasons beyond his control.
Who would argue that he isn't the worst coach in the bracket?

And yet, when LSU makes it to the Elite Eight the narrative will be about the talent instead of the coach. The "Truth" is LSU is a very dangerous and talented team.

So you think our assistant coach should be a better coach than the head coaches of teams that made the tourney?
And Benford is a good assistant coach. But there’s a massive difference in being a good assistant coach and being a good head coach.

He’s right. LSU’s current head coach has never exceeded .500 in his entire career.
