Perspective is greatly needed on this board. WW is nothing more than a temporary "manager" of a sports team at Louisiana State University. Only time (and more info) will tell if the parties involved have acted in good faith, professionally, etc. The only info we have at this point is that we hired a coach who looks like he was caught up in an FBI investigation talking about some shady stuff to some shady people. This does not look good for the coach, team, department, university, etc. It is probable that some of the parties involved (LSU, NCAA) have additional info we/the public do not know. Instead of just thinking about winning the next game/tournament, we should all be thinking (in perspective) about the long term well-being of the university, department, team, players.

Sorry but I appreciate Alleva doing everything he can to keep the program free of sanctions. I don't want Skylar Mays to play his senior year on a team banned from the postseason.

This is, by far, the dumbest comment I've read concerning this whole situation. Post Season???? LOL

This program is DEAD for the foreseeable when Wade is officially fired.

Gone: Wade, Naz, Tremont, Smart, Bigby-Williams, Taylor, and Emmitt.

What's left: Mays, Days, and a bunch of plan C recruits and a washed up, forget has been, but never been coach.

2-16 SEC record here we come. LSU won't see an above .500 SEC record in basketball for the next 5-7 years.

That team has worked their asses off all season and gone through horrible adversity (Wayde Sims' death being #1.)

THEY DESERVE THEIR COACH IN THE POST SEASON.
Then Will Wade should not have complained over the phone to a middle man like a teenage girl. He got himself involved in a scandal and that is 100% on HIM.

And please don't bring Wayde Sims into this as if it is a reason to bring Will Wade back to the bench.

LSU's ADMIN is doing the team a disservice by not allowing Wade to coach.
No. They are trying to minimize damage to the program. Damage caused by Will Wade.

If Wade is cleared, there will always be an asterisk behind 2018 season, even though we were SEC champs.

As far as Orgeron, whether he works out or not doesn't excuse the EFF up of Alleva's so called "national search" and all of the other dumb coaching hires/extensions.
There won't be an asterisk if Wade is cleared. There will be if he isn't.

As for Orgeron, you only pretend you have inside info on the search, and despite his doing well you seem to be unable to let that go.

Where was this program pre-Wade????

Oh yeah, 2-16 SEC record. A pure dumpster fire. Empty seats galore in the PMAC. Total and complete apathy by the fan base.

Minimize the Damage??? You've got to be fricking kidding!!!!!

Yes, Wade built the program up then immediately damaged it.

Wrong.... He got caught on Wiretap merely saying that he could provide a damn strong offer to a recruit, a recruit that was cleared by a stubborn LSU compliance and the NCAA.

The LSU administration screwed this all up by over-reacting and panicking like a little teenage girl at the first sign of the media flexing their muscles a little bit.

Every damn school in the country makes scholarship offers to players. There is nothing incriminating in the phone call that the NCAA could use against Wade. At this point it is all speculation as to what the offer was. LSU could have just as easily backed their coach and said it was a scholarship offer, but they threw their coach under the bus and try to force him to talk on something he can’t.

And for god sake the NCAA is NOT investigating Will Wade.

Yes there will be. CWW would have coached better in all games that the interim coach has. Are you too blind to see that?

SEC obviously didn't want an apparently tarnished program to win the tournament and you're as dumb as a rock if you don't think the NCAA thinks the same way.

Joe?

LMFAO.

I didn't say i supported the AD. You don't have to choose a side in this. Joe has been an absolute travesty as the AD!!! Will Wade is the the one that got caught on the phone, not Joe. The fricked up thing is Joe didn't even hire the best coach of his tenure here and it will get both of them brought down, and hopefully not the rest of the athletic department as well. They will both have to go after this and we will still get hammered by the NCAA, with JA being relieved of his duties being the only fricking bright spot. Now carry on, boy.

Ask Duke Fans if they are happy he is gone...He cost the University a lot of money....Which is potentially the same situation if 4/22/2019 turns out in Wades favor...His track record is awful...

Nothing short of canceling a program would cause an AD to ruin LSU sports for me.

and the guy he was sharing his feelings with on multiple phone calls was a corrupt middle man from Addidas to whom he had no reason to talk to. It was shady as Hell and put the program in a bad light. It may be an unfortunate situation, in which things can blow over. Instead Wade is burning bridges and making demands.

they asked to be included on all conversations. You are a blind fool if you don't think they are investigating.

so you are saying he is guilty by association? As of now he is guilty of nothing. He was subpoenaed to testify for the defense.

And

No LSU asked them to be involved. They told on themselves.

It's probably a mix of how LSU is ran and just getting older and perspective changing.

If the goal is to keep LSU free from sanctions, we are paying out coaches and administrators way too much. Anyone could do their jobs.

I heard that it was Alleva's voice talking to the convicted agent and not Wiretap Willy. It is a conspiracy
