He’s also an 80 year old, rich white republican. He’s the last man you want calling shots. Dude said Skip Bertman should be interim AD. Lol. Old boys club to the max. Anyone see Skip attempt to announce the baseball lineup a few weeks ago?

These type of decision makers are a cancer to what has become a new age of athletics, across the board. This guy is money & politically motivated & LSU’s best interest is not at heart,

No, Joe Alleva & F. King Alexander are the last men I want calling the shots followed by you.

Lester doesn’t want a rich white republican calling the shots

Statically speaking, rich white republicans are the top of the most successful businesses

Enjoy your skip Bertman for AD type hires. He can hire someone to clean up his drool since Lipsey is so rich

I’m fine with rich republicans. Not just 80 year old ones who are phased out generationally

Seems like he is using this situation, which he clearly does not have a firm grasp on, to throw shade at politicians

And there it is...

Not worried about ties. I just want people who demand excellence in all aspects of the university.

Emmert had no ties and he built up both academics and football.

Politics really have no part of this situation and just helps advance this thread into the absurd.

However, it can be argued that the longer one stays in the academic world, the more one is immersed in a liberal environment and, therefore, more likely to support liberal policy. It’s a chicken or egg scenario.

This thread should have been stickied as anyone who cares about LSU should read and share this opinion piece.

Sadly this thread now belongs in the cellar of the pol board.

Agreed. I don’t get into the back-and-forth political crap. They’re all bad as far as I’m concerned.

I didn’t see this as political. This is a very impactful statement from someone who can effect change and should be listened to.
