Does anyone know anything about this guard from the Vikings

22nd ranked olineman in 2017. 3rd best pass blocking guard in 2017. He’s 26 years old

He’s a Viking O lineman that went to Harvard that isn’t Matt Birk.

Started 17 of 23 games before missing all of last year with a herniated back.
Wonder if this is depth/competition for Peat or his long term replacement. Or if they are moving Peat to LT long term and moving on from the oft injured Armstead.
Armstead's missed 26 games over the last 5 years, and 21 over the last 3. Not to mention he's played hurt for quite a few games and it showed.

Hey Bone.
Glad you're back.

Thanks. Been very rarely in and out since the New Orleans screw job. Still feeling rough about it, but the promise of a new season is always alluring.

Moving Peat to LT? Give me whatever you are smoking!

Assuming he's coming back from a herniation. Gonna say it's more of depth to get back into fb shape and see if he's a long term possibility. I imagine the market won't be that large.

Same here.
Didn't know if I would be back either.
But being Drew's last year I'm all in again.
Damnit!

Could be an option for center behind Unger as in heir

Peat's played left tackle quite often over the last 3 years (being that Armstead has missed 21 games in that period). He started there in place of Armstead more often than anyone else, including Kelemete.
Peat has 10 starts at LT over the last 3 years, and that doesn't include games where Armstead went down and Peat slid over, just the ones he's actually started there.
Bushrod mostly filled in last year (Peat only had one start at LT last year), but the prior two seasons it was mostly Peat when Armstead was out.

With how high they are on Tom I highly doubt it's to replace Unger.
I have to think it's basically a tryout year with the thought of being a long term replacement for Peat or Armstead if he pans out.
Short term he may not start, but if Armstead inevitably gets hurt again he'll likely fill in at LG with Peat at LT.

Will probably need that backup year to get back into swing of things anyway. He’s still young for an interior lineman.

Good news is he started 12 of 12 games in 2017 before getting hurt, so if he can get back right he has experience.

Yes he’s filled in at LT but that doesn’t mean he’s played well there. Peat is not a tackle in the NFL. He’s a gaurd that can kick outside and play tackle in a pinch but not a guy you want playing there for an extended period of time.

They should have cut Peat a few days ago and upgraded.
Most overrated player on this board.
Easton/Sitton or Easton/Lang.
If we had a blind cat instead of Peat in the playoffs, we just might have won the super bowl.

Sounds like a Kelemete replacement which we missed last year

We have one more run in us with Drew boys. We have to put the heartbreak aside one more time and go all in with this team. We are right on the cusp. Let's fricking get it
