of anything!

He was subpoenaed by the defense.
Most believe he’ll never have to testify.
He didn’t meet with the administration yesterday because by telling them anything he would waive attorney client privilege.
It would also allow everyone in that room to be subpoenaed.

Lastly, as of now, there is no FBI or NCAA investigation into Will Wade or LSU. No physical evidence of wrong doing. No paper trail. There’s just a recording with Wade saying VERY vague comments. Yet, our administration caved to the national media pressure thinking this was a good PR move. Trying to save face incase Wade is found guilty.

If Wade is not found guilty Alleva and King should be fired. This would be a total inexcusable, debacle on them. There should be mass pressure from the LSU faithful until that is accomplished.

If alleva gets fired it will be because he is the person who hired wade. Ironic isn’t it?

That is the amazing part to me. The fact that Joe would expose himself to a possible subpoena. What an idiot! You say and do nothing.

What I meant was: if there’s an investigation by the school and/or NCAA and he is found guilty of “wrong doing”. I know he’s not currently on trial.

This is a simple scenario. The Defense team is trying to muddy the water in this trial, because their client is guilty and the wire taps have been ruled inadmissible. So they start leaking small things as a threat to release more, which will start to include the Blue Bloods of CBB. The theory being that once the big boys get scared they and their politically connected backers will lean on the court for a good deal to make it stop.

Why would any attorney say that without knowing the evidence

Absolutely.

You can believe the prosecution would have called all of them at trial if they had known of the meeting (which they would have)

Are the wiretaps that have been cited really inadmissible?

He knew Wade wouldn't go to the meeting. It was all a stupid ploy for an excuse to suspend him.

Yes. The NCAA can decide to use it against him, but I think they'll need a lot more if the want to do anything more than slap him on the wrist. Simply because there is a black hole of worms they'd have to dive into with all of college basketball, if they don't want to face intense scrutiny for only targeting a couple of schools.

You already said you know he is not on trial.
I am willing to be that none of the attorneys you talked to handle NCAA compliance. Very, very, very few attorneys are ever involved in that arena.
If the reporting of the contents of the wiretaps is accurate there is a 99.9% chance of NCAA violations on the part of Will Wade. The least of the penalties would be forfeiting every win in which Smart played.

I don't think so. Anything they "learned" after that hypothetical conversation would be inadmissible as hearsay. And whether anybody in that room knew anything before that meeting with Wade is irrelevant in Dawkins' trial.

Don’t they still have to prove violations? We all know there probably was violations committed but don’t they have to get a paper trail and some evidence of these violations?

Wait for it, Wait for it. I haven't read all of this thread but rest assured, the yahoos will come forward and say it's not in the courts of law, its the ncaa they are so worried about. Frick the ncaa, they will do nothing. They didn't do anything to Duke, Kansas, UNC, Bama in football, Texas A&M in football. Frick the NCAA. Ride with Will Wade.

No matter what thread I read or what information is provided all I can think about is how much Joe fricking aleva sucks at his life

And if after the dust settles and it's proven that he was an overreacting bitch..... Will Wade says deuces...... He needs to be kidnapped and shipped to Bangladesh
