LSU's Nike contract could it be voided if there is evidence Nike & Wade paid recruits

LSU's Nike contract is widely regarded as one of the terrible athletic contract for a major power conference school in the country. LSU's deal with Nike is $39.9 million over 9 years or around $4 million a year.
LSU is tied into Nike until 2021 and so this could be a hell of a way to renegotiate or reopen that contract back up to make lemonade out of lemons.
UCLA has a $280 mil/15 yr deal/$18.7 mil a year with Under Armor
Ohio State has a $252 mil/15 yr/$16 mil a year deal with Nike
Texas has a $16 mil per year/$250 mil/15 yr deal with Nike
Michigan has a $250 deal with Nike
BYU has a $10 mil per year deal with Nike for 7 years.
Washington has a $5 mil per year deal with Adidas
North Carolina has a $6.27 mil per year deal with Nike.
Does anyone know if there is a provision in the contract that would allow termination if one of the parties was involved in illegal activities?

Joe Alleva negotiated a terrible contract for LSU?
No fricking way.

How much of that goes to the players? Oh, none? frick the NCAA.
And for good measure, though not relevant to this thread, frick Alleva.

LSUs Nike deal was the most lucrative in the country at the time it was signed

The money gets distributed to other sports that doesn’t profit. Don’t let this season look pAst the fact that LSU BB was on life support for the better part of the last few decades.

I’ll find another team to root for before I wear Adidas LSU gear

A look at LSU’s suddenly underwhelming Nike contract

From 2013:

Most college football fans, at least grudgingly, agree the SEC is the sport's power conference. It produced the last seven national champions.
Footwear giants Nike and Adidas recognize the dominance of the conference.

Not surprisingly given its recent success, the SEC has the most lucrative contracts in the land.
Louisiana State University, which this year signed an extension that runs through 2022, has the most lucrative deal. The university's contract with Nike also is noteworthy because the extension mentions digital technology and activity monitors, two areas which Nike is emphasizing.

BYU-Nike $10 mil per year through 2025-26. It was inked today.

And we missed the market big time.
Being the biggest deal at the time doesn't mean it was a good deal for LSU. A year later A&M got $7MM per year.

The players get paid. They get free room and board, along with money for school, and if they're good enough, money under the table. What's the going rate for the eighth man in LSU's eight-man rotation?
So why don't you get out of here with this "paying the players" bullshite? A college scholarship is more than equitable compensation.

LAST FEW DECADES??? No it wasn’t. Jesus, what is wrong with you.

I hope we stay with Nike forever. That check mark just screams champion. You have to go back 20+ years I believe before you find a football national champion who wore anything else.
