quote:What does this mean? It’s only the 25th widest release of all-time, despite being in a slower time of the year. So they aren’t holding them hostage yet. Besides, that has little to do with whether people will actually go see a movie, especially when it’s not some indie film type film with a limited release.
Disney will also hold theater chains hostage with their releases as well.
And theaters don’t start dropping movies by any significant amount until about a month after the release anyways, when the majority of money is made. So holding them hostage wouldn’t even have much of an impact anyways.
Your posts don’t even make much sense.

What does this mean?

Not really. 80% of my posts are replies to you.
And you're exactly like the people you deride, just in the opposite direction. You seem super invested in this movie.
Yeah yeah. "Blah blah blah wanna watch the melts." You don't need to make 100 posts to do that.

quote:But is this even true. Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom was in lost 17.4% of its theaters by the 4th weekend, 40% by its 6th weekend, and 72.4% by its 8th weekend. Captain America: Civil War lost 19.6% by its 4th weekend, 50.2% by its 6th weekend, and 82.2% by its 8th weekend.

Now granted Civil War opened at the beginning of the blockbuster season and Fallen Kingdom opened in the middle of it and had better legs but if Disney was holding theatres hostage I would expect Civil War to have been at least keeping as many theaters as movie like Fallen Kingdom. Instead it looks like theaters dropped the movie as one would expect.

I agree he does seem invested in the outcome of the movie but it seems to me he is just trying to win an internet argument and at least using facts.

Saw Marvel yesterday. Not the best they’ve offered for sure, but still worth watching. It has a lot of factors that are gonna make it a big box office success despite not being a great Marvel movie

It’s pretty clear displaces has multiple accounts. He’ll have 2-3 upvotes on his posts within 2-3 minutes almost every time. No one else here really agrees with him and most are tired of his schtick. Just ignore the troll.

I was only a lurker when you were spamming the board years ago. So you’re probably the last one who should be talking about “alters.”

Anyone remember this dude’s versus threads?
That was a simpler time, when people were divided about ‘Drive’ and Joseph Gordon-Levitt instead of this bullshite.

Saw the movie yesterday - overall it's an okay movie. did really love or hate it.
The main thing it was lacking for me was a sense of fun. Brie Larson came off as a very wooden actress and even her moments of levity fell a little flat for me. Samuel L Jackson and her didn't have very much on screen chemistry (from a buddy-cop perspective).
79% seems about right to me.

I enjoyed it. But, why did the cat scratch Fury's eye?

I’m sure I’ll eventually see this at some point, but will I need to see this before watching Endgame?
Edit: Sorry if it has been covered, but I don’t want to dig through this thread.

Saw it this weekend. Thought it was fine. Not the worst Marvel movie. Not close to the best. Just a pretty decent popcorn flick.

i think it was to have a funny back story to Fury losing his eye. He's such the bad arse SHIELD agent that everyone assumes it was some horrific event but have it be 'cat scratched me' and him having to halfway lie about it for the rest of his life was kinda funny.
