If Weston can get hot from 3 it will be close. That will be the equalizer.

Watched Thibodaux and Natchitoches-Central Friday. Two very fast teams. Thibodaux guards handle ball real well and penetrate real easy. If they finish at the rim, they will be tough to beat. They are excellent on defensive end and can play 8-10 players!

Rayville won by 50 again to move on to state. They have now won by 78, 53, and 50 in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs.

Knocked off Ville Platte 115-52. Regardless of the competition, their run during the postseason has been very impressive.

Not sure. I don’t know much about Port Allen, but Damon has the Hornets playing at an insane level. I think this senior class wants to go out in style, so it’s possible.

I’d say they have as much of an argument as any to make that claim. I think they can play with anyone and win on any given night.

Uhhh girls didn’t blow it. The ref decided he was going to give a 5th foul via technical for a kid doing nothing. I have no dog in that fight FWIW. Just a case of a ref over reaching

Simpson disposes of Pleasant Hill, will face number one Summerfield again in the championship for the second straight year Friday. No.1 vs No.2

Not sure if correct thread to ask

But would the people support a Tournament of Champions after the end of State Tournaments to have an overall state champ? Or a Single Class Tournament like Indiana did for 80 years?

I think that would be an awesome tournament and would actually draw a good crowd. Rayville went to Chicago earlier this here and played in a Tournament of Champions. I think they finished as runners up in their division. Several big names have played in that tourney, most notably, Zion Williamson.

with these principals?

If you asked them they'd tell you the class C title means the same as class 5A. They would never agree to something that would expose their class (state champion) as lesser than another one

It does mean the same to the people playing. May not to you

But only way to get in ToC in Arkansas was to win the State Tournament. They then had blind draw for the seeds 2-5 as the top state champion (usually 4A as then was only 1-4 A and B) got the winner of that playin game

A few years, not many, the B and C schools could have potentially been the best in any class. The Zwolle teams of the late 80s early 90s. Dubach had a team about 15 years ago that could have beaten anyone.

Class C does mean as much as the class 5A. There is a reason for size classifications. Was that a serious comment?
