At 23 Reagan was a baseball broadcaster on radio. Very big in those days because there was no TV.

Wasn't he hired to "broadcast" previously played games from the box scores? shite is wild.

No, it was off of teletype from wire services. The printed info came over the wire about 10-20 seconds after real life time. It was much more detailed than a box score...IE, 'foul ball, strike one' would come over the wire.

Because, at that point in his life, he wasn't angling for a prominent position in government?

She was cum laude, though. ( )

Makes a BU degree practically worthless, when you think about how dumb this lady is.

Ronald Reagan desired to have a career 8n the entertainment business. By the time he was 28 years old, he had already made 15 movies and, for that time, probably already had 10 times more money than you will ever dream of having.

Next.

It's the media that keeps putting her out there. We are simply reacting to it.

Not that it is any of your business what others choose to talk about.

Think about this AOC moron

She thinks $3 billion in incentives = $3 billion in money NYC has to invest in other things like education, subways etc.. The incentives are based on tax revenues from Amazon. The fundamental financial ignorance is astounding. NYC was getting 25,000 new job (65,000 indirect) plus the tech jobs that are attracted to being next to Amazon. Add on top, that over 20 years NYC was going to make $27 billion on $3 billion worth of tax incentives.

She should be strung up for her utter incompetence. This bitch is proud she killed this deal. 80% of blacks and 70% of Latinos wanted these jobs in Queens. It’s amazing that ~50% of the white liberals wanted Amazon in NYC. Think about that?

They probably don't care. It's a different school.

Let's see...what was I doing at the age of 28...I was in charge of all communication operations for a Brigade-sized element in Iraq, about $10 million worth of equipment and 3 secure facilities.

No excuses, Lexi.

I don't really blame her for tending bar. She was working at least. I know several people who don't work in the field of their degree for various reasons.

I do, however, blame her for being a vocal village idiot. She's in over her head, and even if she was smart enough to figure out how to implement her ridiculous ideas, they'd still be shitty for the country.

Economics are what liberals who think they understand business (but don't) study at college.

Business is what conservatives who think they understand business (and kind of do, to a degree) study at college.

Folks that actually understand business run successful ones, at least in the United States. It's the beauty of capitalism. The cream rises to the top, hardened by competition.

That's why socialism fails. In a socialist society, you move up by sucking up to the authorities. In capitalistic ones, you move up by being of service/value to others.

He also had a degree in.. Economics

So he had an economics degree, but went to work in a job he enjoyed, and later pursued a political career

Cool

Yeah, I think they just have AOC derangement syndrome. They sure do give outsize attention to a freshmen rep.

I know bartenders that love their job, and make good money. I don't know if they make 6 figures but they have a nice middlecass lifestyle. The problem with those jobs is that the hours fricking blow. I know a barista that makes $75k+ and only works 4 days a week but her hours are awful.

Also, an economics degree isn't as useful as other degrees, especially without more degrees. Source: have econ degree. its not as bad as some of my other degrees (philosophy) but its not as good as say computer science.

It's probably because she's so vocal, and every word she says is only exceeded in stupidity, by her next speech. It's quite a feat.

In what state?

Yeah, but you'd think someone who taken a basic high school economics class would know more about economics than AOC. She may be one of the most idiotic people alive. It's just coincidental that she's in congress.
