What are some start-up/small businesses that aren’t going anywhere for a while?

If you are young, not tied-down, have a flexible schedule, and some money set away on the side, what’s a side business (or primary for that matter) that you see a market in for the foreseeable future?
I realize this is fairly vague and ambiguous, but I have extreme flexibility, and want to start something on the side, but I’m just now starting to kick ideas around.

The whole pet care sector isn’t going away any time soon. Dog walking, dog daycare, pet sitting for ppl who work long hours/travel frequently, dog obedience, grooming...there are plenty of easy start up, side hustle type angles to the pet business.

get something in healthcare or go to funeral director school. recession proof. people will always need healthcare and die. st. petersburg college has an online mortuary science associate degree. you only have to go to lab for two weeks. you can do that on the side and make 40k easy as a side gig without being a funeral director and running the whole show.

essentially, you are looking for service businesses that can't be automated/offshored. A lot of these businesses are physical labor intensive or require a trade or special talent, which means people are willing to hire someone else to do it for them.

Lawn and pet care are two that come to mind that can be a decent side gig or even full time gig if you plan that out. Like others on here, always consider rental property.

It's scary how many companies have folded because of their big competitors outsourcing labor and new tech inventions

yeah, the problem is they don't pay that well.
ETA: I know a guy that does lawn service stuff. He makes really good money just working a few days a week.
the easiest thing is to do whatever you do as a career as freelance. Keep it on the D/L as most employer don't like that.

There are too many options. you can invest in a start-up. Just find out the projects and choose the one you like. I'm currently taking advice from LINK and that helps a lot. This site has been made to help people get educated about finance matters. If you have some money set away on the side its good idea.
