Lin Wood sued WaPo today on behalf of his client. Courtesy of myself and boosiebadazz, let's get this thread started. In coming to my amount, I figured the cost of litigation for WaPo in this case will be massive and, more importantly, could reinforce Trump's fake news narrative once discovery begins, especially if embarrassing items are discovered about their fact checking and investigation, or lack thereof. My number is $10 million with an NDA. Over or under?

Over. Wood has the track record and resources to take this case all the way to SCOTUS if necessary. People will tout Bezos’ net worth, but he’s not going to somehow bankrupt or spend Wood’s team into quitting.

The Post wants this to go away. Wouldn't be shocking if they offered a favorable settlement so this ends quickly.

The WaPo will spend a lot of money trying to fight discovery. Once a judge/appellate court rules that all of their emails, internal correspondence, and other data that shows their deliberate bias must be turned over, they'll pay at least $50 million so that they don't have to turn over any of that information.
