Another question I have is why was it so hard for Klaus to contact their father and Dave yet Ben was tied to him like they were Siamese twins?
I think because Ben has been dead for so long. It was easier for him to contact him.

That's a good question that many have asked in this thread, I wondered that when watching it as well. I can't help but think it was just an oversight by the writers since Dave did not age when he appeared.
The statue of him was him as a late teen. I don’t think he died as a child

Yeah but his ghost is still clearly in his twenties.

I think that’s just casting an older actor for a younger role which they do all the time

Ben isn’t dead. He’s 1/2 in another dimension.
Is this from the comics or did I miss them saying this?

It was kind of a unique take on the comic book thing. Some of the characters were meh, but I overall enjoyed it. The two hit men and Number Five were the best part, IMO.

Just binge watched the show. It was slow in the first 2 episodes, but i enjoyed the hell out of it. Ready for season 2! Wish they would have explained the talking ape.

I thought maybe an ape got pregnant just like with the kids. And with a shorter life span he aged faster.
But I think he’s just a lab experiment.

We didn't have a clue what this show was about but jumped in head first, so glad we did. Was a very entertaining, funny, interesting show, and we can't wait for season 2!!!

Comics. They actually labeled him deceased on the show.

Not sure if many in this thread have seen Dexter, but I'm on my first watch now and am on season 6. In episode 9 of that season the computer guy who's working with homicide brings Batista's sister to his house and he has a weird collection of stuff.
They show some comic books on display as they're walking in, and some of them are Umbrella Academy books. Anyway, I thought it was kind of cool so thought I'd share.
This is the best image I can find online. The comic books are on the right-hand side.

But I don’t understand the people who need to be baby sat after an hour of television on where to keep watching.
You really don’t understand why? That’s what you are going with?
With all the TV options these days, you don’t understand why someone would ask if a show gets better after E1 before investing several hours of their time? On a message board set up specifically to discuss such this.
You can’t understand this?

Ellen Page is in it dude ...
I’ve actually enjoyed the show though it can be boring at times (I have one episode left) but Page is just so freakin’ bad and annoying it almost ruins it for me. I’m gonna try to make it through now but I literally cringe each time I see her on screen.

I think she plays the role quite well. I think her personality is exactly the personality of 7, so she has to put no effort into it.

I finished it. Not bad - and better than a lot of stuff out right now. I'll watch the second season whenever it comes out. Hopefully they speed it up a bit . . .

Klaus deserves an Emmy nod.
That dude is awesome.

The kid playing 5 did a good job, too.

I'm guessing that a lot of people are bringing a lot of hate for Page into this. Her character is supposed to be the boring antithesis of a superpowered hero. She nailed that pretty well.

Just finished it. I really enjoyed it, though it is admittedly uneven at times. But what I like best is the false thread of Episode 6 which begs the question:
If Five never tries to interfere and just lets things continue how they were going in Episode 6, does the Apocalypse occur? It is possible that the events of the season finale were entirely caused by his meddling. If he just stays away at that point and doesn't rewind the clock, almost every character gets a happy ending and Seven never becomes the White Violin because she finds the book long before its too late, and returns to her family having not harmed anyone yet.
