Friday - Hess
Saturday - Marceaux
Sunday - Jaden Hill (not Walker)
Tuesday - Henry
Wednesday - Walker - Walker to pitch out of bullpen Friday night

Rotation will stay the same next weekend as well. Look for Walker to come back into the weekend rotation for the Texas series.

LSU baseball’s starting lineup tomorrow:

1. Smith
2. Broussard
3. Duplantis
4. Cabrera
5. Watson
6. Garza
7. Bianco
8. Mathis
9. Hughes

Not what I thought, but said Walker wasn’t extended enough in preseason.

Beloso will start Saturday in place of Bianco.

Get some other guys some good live action early on. Works for me. Excited to see what Hill can do

Any explanation from PM on the Hill/Walker decision?

I expected this lineup at the top. I know people want Duplantis at lead off and he may end up there but he is a proven run producer and going into a season you want your known guys in position you know they will succeed.

CPM has also shown in the past that he likes a lefty with some pop at lead off.

Does that mean we likely see Walker midweek?

Sounds like they believe Walker hasn't worked enough innings/pitches at once right now to believe he can go out there and start, so he simply just needs to throw a little more sounds like before they start him. Against this weekend's slate, we can go without him.

Agreed, the talk prior to this was Duplantis batting leadoff.

Thinks NW ST Wednesday is dangerous wants walker for that. Also Hilll has earned the Sunday start.

What a luxury to have those three guys in the middle of the order.

The ONLY reason Walker isn’t starting Sunday is because he isn’t stretched out enough. Per PM

Dup isn't your traditional 3 hole, but he's a RBI machine and is in position to get on base for LSU's power bats.

Hill has an out change up. His control needs some work but he's going to be exciting to watch. When that change is working it is filty.

That was going to be my question, I guess 1st base is still very much up for grabs

Duplantis is too good to be in the 3 hole

1,2,4, and 5 are all more important than the 3 hole
